He can defend. He has improved that aspect of his game since has left the academy. Although Walker wasn't a brilliant defender he did thrive under Pep. Tell me you’ve not seen him play for Leverkusen without telling me.He can defend. He has improved that aspect of his game since has left the academy.
He plays almost as a number 10 for them.

Nope has mostly played as a Wing Back this season. Has only played as a 10 once. He does have that versatilty that Pep does like.Utter nonsense.

We are a bit lucky tbh, because the standard at the top of the PL isn't great, and if we do some decent business we should definitely get top 4.
Then we will hopefully kick on in the summer.
If Pep thought they were good enough to start/or be brought on then they would.
If Pep doesn't think they are good enough then they shouldn't be in the squad, filling the bench with no prospect of playing. McAtee especially had opportunities to be sold or have another loan to develop if he wasn't going to play at all.

Does frustrate me that we have such a small squad and 3 or 4 of that squad have very little chance of playing in the premier league. Hard to criticise the club but it does smack of poor planning.

I don't need McAtee to establish himself.Totally disagree. McAtee has been given a decent go but looks miles off in establishing himself even in our current state. Rico Lewis is better than what you have described him as. Pep does rate him hence more starts.
Bernardo and Gundogan are "established" yet are putting shit performances in every week. How is that helping?
Rico Lewis is not a LB. He was bullied on Saturday, spent more time on the floor than on his feet and before anyone starts, yes he scored what could be an important equaliser. Doesn't take away from the rest of the game.

If bringing on O'Reilly and McAtee are like live grenades to Pep and he can't possibly imagine they will come off the bench and not score an own goal to lose us the game then he should cut them loose and not talk them up in press conferences.
