United (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

It was a mid-table Championship level game at best but we'd done just about enough to win it. Then we needlessly threw it away yet again.

Khaldoon & Soriano should be sitting down with Pep tomorrow and looking him in the eye, asking if he's got answers. Great if he has but if he hasn't, then we should start looking for his replacement. Quickly.

While there is no comparison between Pep and Mark Hughes as managers, this is like the situation with Hughes back in 2009. He had no answers to the inability to win games and was shown the door. Yes, Pep. has credit in the bank but he's rapidly going into his overdraft.
Would you give him until the end of January or is that too much of an overdraft ? Just interested to hear your view

Is it me or does any one else think Haaland will be gone he looks so miserable lately like he knows something is happening maybe it’s me but?

My nephew is absolutely devastated about this result and I get it - from his perspective these are the best players ever & the best manager, we should be doing better. When I was growing up, we had mostly shit players and mostly shit managers, so being shite was expected.
I know I was just getting it in before the numpties. Anyhow 2 very poor sides in a dreadful.game of football decided by a couple of hilariously bad mistakes which happen weekly now. Pep has managed to do absolutely nothing, zip, nada fuck all to improve the situation.

Thank god for a bit of luck early on in the season.

Every match I hope that things will improve. However we seem to have literally fallen over the cliff edge. Unless we find a way forward very soon this could turn out to be a long and painful season.
Our midfield is the key issue.Get that right and we will improve up front and in defence.
Whilst I appreciate Rodri being absent is not the only problem he does provide the glue that holds the team together.
Here's hoping that Villa have a really poor game next week and that we can salvage some confidence for the weeks to come.

We're never blaming this on just nunes? He made a mistake. But we're fucking up all over the place. As far as reductive arguments go, this one is special.
There's a big difference between playing shite and winning and playing shite and losing. Whilst playing shite is common in both cases, my evening was ruined by Nunes. He wax the singular difference especially because there were 4 mjns to go

That was just dire. No urgency, no passion, no real organisation, no pace, no attacking threat and no defence.

We are a shambles. From front to back none of them played well. Nunes did ok until that brain fart but sadly that's his level. He's not a good player and is less effective than Zinchenko. Walker was dreadful and going to ground was embarrassing. Not sure which pedestrians we had in midfield but if McAtee can't get into this team then fuck him off as he must be dreadful. Or we can give him a game as he can't be worse than the others.

Something is seriously wrong with this and it's not injuries. We literally have zero energy and we are starting to resemble a team going through the motions. I genuinely don't see this team winning many games till the end of the season. We look like a team battling relegation.

We might bring in a few new players in January but if they are going to play with fear, zero pace and not trying to score then there's no point.

Pep needs a kick in the bollocks, slapping and telling to get the fuck on managing this team. He needs to get a grip now and sort this out before we slide down the league.

Saw that result coming a mile off. When the penatly was given I turned to the guy next to me and said we'd end up losing this game.

Concede so many goals from fucking about with it at the back and they never learn. Too slow and predictable. No desire to seek out the 2nd goal ourselves and take off the only player (KDB) with any fire in his belly. Nobody presses any more apart from him.

Utd are fucking awful, as was their support. Worst of either at the Etihad this season and to lose to them is beyond infuriating.

We've gone from passing back to create space or build an attack to just passing back for the sake of it. It's like over zealous muscle memory. I could see it coming a mile off. We need Red Odair ( one for the kids ) to put this one out .

Surely when the dossier of evidence you kept banging on about is released, all the teams above us will get points deductions and we'll win the league anyway? So I don't know what you're worried about.

He looks miserable because the only time you ever see him is when he's losing a game of football. These are professional footballers and they don't experience headloss the same way fans do. Im sure he's fine.
