People need to remember that the battle lines have been drawn in the premier league- with us , Chelsea , Newcastle and Villa on one side , against the rest

Teams like Spurs , Brighton , Fulham etc aren’t going to sell us shit , so I would forget any players coming in from the other 16 clubs

We may be able to do deals with the others , which may be why the Bruno deal makessense

Completely disagree about Bruno G - exactly what we need imo, and we maybe wouldn’t be in the hole we are if we had paid up for him in the summer.

Bruno G aint a 6 for starters - nowhere near and that is our immediate need and even once Rodri is back we need quality cover and that aint his position....

If anything he is a gundo replacement....but is he anywhere near that standard...I dont think so - he is closer to Nunes levels...

Bit of a random post but the clubs recent activity in the transfer market with the players we’ve got has actually not given me much faith that we’ll get this rebuild right. So much pressure now and I’m not particularly optimistic they’ll deliver.

I think you need to look at our best buys from abroad for clues.

Kevin Bundesliga
Yaya La Liga
Bernardo France
Haaland Bundesliga

The majority of these from the 2 other best European leagues.
The odd player out is Silva as he was the only player who came from his own league.

So for me we should be concentrating on non Spanish players from La Liga and non Germans playing in the Bundesliga. They will then not be prone to what I'll call the Sané effect.

We've obviously bought some excellent English players but there's usually a premium.

Nunes seems the most likely makeweight, although not convinced he’d actually get into their starting XI. £50m + Nunes would be a good deal for us, and help Newcastle with any imminent PSR issues.
