I didn’t even know he was a united fan.

I don’t watch MOTD much these days but whenever I’ve seen him he’s come across as professional, articulate and decent.

I like watching MOTD Sunday AM. But Lineker, Shearer and Richards really pissed me off during the EUROs. I thought they were unprofessional and a right bunch of twats.

Happy Lineker going and hope he takes Shearer and Richards with him.

Some people getting their y fronts in a twist here about women presenters just showing their ignorance and age. A side of football fandom which is very fucking irritating.

Do you moan about Hazel or Claire Balding or Gaby or Sue Baker at Wimbledon? I want professional presenters and commentators not incessant ex footballers looking to relieve boredom in retirement and doing a shite job.

Others are probably abit miffed because Sly, TNT and the BBC are top heavy with rags and dippers.
It's obvious it doesn't bother you, but just because it doesn't that doesn't mean others aren't sick of it.

Daughter of Kenneth was last week on Sly when highlighting us dropping more points at Palace but failing to mention that the rags had at home to Forest. She just stated that their game was "our saturday evening game".
Maybe different paymasters will have her even more professional then, who knows

The rags haven’t been relevant in a decade.

I do feel people take any perceived sleight of their club too personally these days.

We’re the butt of jokes at the moment as were bottom of the form table, which hasn’t happened in decades. It doesn’t mean the world is against us though!

Absolutely killed SPOTY with the Alex girl tonight. It lacked any class and the award at the end to the winner was a shocker. They could not even lift the winner’s award.

Showed how much glass Gary had in presenting the show and how poor the show was without him last night.

I didn’t watch it, not because of who presented it but because it’s been shit for years and years.

BBC know this because it was shoved on a Tues evening when years ago it would be on a Saturday eve.

I don’t think Alex Scott (assume that who you refer too) is a good presenter at all, and needs binning, but thats because she is not good at it, NOT BECAUSE SHE IS A FUCKING WOMAN

They ruined Football Focus and Question of Sport so why not complete the trio with MOTD & MOTD2!
Mark Chapman I can take and listen to but the other two, no thanks! Gabby is ok on other sport but not football. Ah well, I’ll just forget watching highlights.
 
I might be in a minority of one, but I find Chapman, Logan and Cates to be far preferable to Lineker.

Lineker is annoyingly smug, and the fake pally banter shtick with Shearer and Richards is tedious and should have been knocked on the head years ago.

I might actually start watching the programme again when he goes.

I agree about that trio. I can't stand the fucking banter. Just show the highlights, give some opinion about the football and skip the 'banter'. I'm not sure what they're offering will be any better but we'll see.
 
Viewing figures won’t change much. MOTD has has a steady 2.5 million viewers for a long time.

The presenter won’t matter much as the professionally outraged get offended by whoever is on the screen.

A certain subset of the population like to sit down and watch MOTD at 10:30pm on a Saturday night. That won’t change.
 
Would it be too much to ask for women to present and commentate on women's football and not on mens. Their views aren't valid on a sport they've never played.
Don't get me started on TNT, I've given up on their games and will watch a foreign stream.
