Great player not a fan of his at left back because of the lack of pace I believe foden worked with a sprint coach maybe something we could do with calum think he was originally a midfielder food for thought.Still difficult to say until we see him playing at the top level, but I think he could ultimately be shaped to play in the role that Stones has filled. He’s not blessed with great pace, which concerns me at fullback or at centre back, especially when playing a high line, but he more than makes up for that with a sharp football brain and his ability to pick a pass. Given the ageing defence we have and their expiring contract dates, keeping Doyle for 25-26 would make more sense than another loan or sale. Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, with Doyle stepping forward could be a solid platform.

Hardly comparable are they, excepting for Palmer/Doku/Savio the rest are different positions and Palmer made his own bed regardless.Over the last few years we probably have.
