After that game of Eddy, Stefan will be our no.1 for the rest of the season if he don’t get a injury.

Stefan Ortega on Pep Guardiola: "He doesn't like losing, but he is very willing to find a solution. Nobody can tell me that the coach who previously dominated all of England is suddenly too bad.
"Perhaps he's looking for a solution a little more obsessively. He's still close to being perfect all the time. I find him quite positive. He's really good to us. Also the charisma he has and support he gives us..."
Stefan Ortega on ManCity's ongoing run of poor form: "If you get through this as a team and a club and pick yourself up as a team - also for yourself personally - it might even be worth a little more in the end than another title..."

His place to keep, did really well today and good distribution as well.

Something does seem off with Eddy, head turned by money most likely.

We dragged out what should have been a natural close to his time at City during summer.

As we've done with players like Walker, Bernardo, Gundo - perhaps even KDB - who had all been talking up a move away (or had already moved in Gundo's case).

It's why we're in the mess that we're in. We needed to facilitate their moves and let them go with a handshake and a fond farewell for all that they've achieved, whilst starting the rebuilding process.

Instead, Eddy now finds himself in a situation where he's still in and out of the team, making errors and no doubt thinking "why was I asked to stay" as he finds himself second fiddle again - rightly - and I'd argue we've lost points because Pep has put himself in a situation where he's had to give Eddy gametime, after wanting him to stay, despite Ortega clearly being the better option at this stage.
All fair comment, but if we’d had a turnover of that magnitude we might have still been in the shit, and we’d have had people pining for the legends gone!

Just need to hope we can make one or two quality signings to help get our mojo back (would be great to get Bobb back too).

Funny when eddie save us a battering a couple of times earlier in the season there wasnt a cry to keep him in
Can’t really follow this Kaz?

He did have some excellent games earlier in the season and wasn’t a factor in a lot of the earlier defeats.

Something’s changed in the past month or so though - not as assured and he has a puss like a slapped arse. Pep’s comment was terse pre-match - ‘not well’

I just get the feeling (sadly) that something is going on behind the scenes.

You might be right or he might just be ill. I am waiting till the end of the season to see what is said and done . Till then i support both eddie and stefan

Did what he could really. Can't really fault him for either of the goals. You can see the difference with the ball at feet between him and Ederson but its not like that cost us today.

Things really don't seem right with Ederson atm but as evidenced today, the goalkeeper isn't nearly as much of an issue as the defence is so there's that to deal with. Might be worth starting Ortega in the short term if there's something going on with Eddie.

Ederson has never made saves akin to that 2nd one today. Never saves 1v1s like their first chance either. Edersons highlight reel is routines saves and long passes
Bollocks , he made some great ones earlier in the season and of course the cl final . He has also saved a couple of one on ones this season. You have never rated him , your choice but dont make things up .as for long passes , i believe he has two assists and that is something that stefan cant do
