Think he’s now being given the opportunity to make it his spot. Let’s see how it goes. He’s brilliant but Eddie has obviously been instrumental to the last few years. Right now I want Ortega in goal and pleased he’s getting a chance.
 
He's hardly ever going to hit the Emerson Hollywood ball. Other than that, he's no slouch , in any department. He deserves a well deserved,run in the side, now.
 
Suits the higher line. Eddie’s main attribute is nullified with a high line. Brilliant choice to have. Could probably accommodate both if we keep playing so many games.
 
Keeps his spot. Always stepped up and been reliable. Stick ederson in the cup games. Reverse rolls. Something not been right with ederson since the transfer talk that went on. Just my opinion.
 
Until such time as (when? If?) he fucks up, he deserves the gig, in my opinion. He hasn't let us down, apart from the cup final. And he wasn't on his own on that inglorious day.
 
Been saying for ages he's the best actual keeper at the club. If Eddie wasn't so good with his feet he would be playing domestic cups only. No disrespect to Eddie i like him.
 
should be saving that first goal and had that been Ederson, there's half a dozen pages of comments saying the same thing. Kicking was horrific today but weather no doubt played at least some part in that. Not offering us anything Ederson didn't and doesn't give us what Ederson does. Love him as our backup but makes no sense in keeping Ederson out.

Well he rushed out late and grabbed the ball and not the forward's leg...
Long kicks were too high. But we don't use the momentum anyway, no pace in our game.
 
If he's not saving that first goal, then no point he plays.
 
I think Keepers should be coming out for corners like that and punching. Shit defending by Walker obviously but could he have come out maybe ?
 
would be typical Txiki-eque comfortable approach costing us a lot if Ederson was sold and we would just promote Ortega to be number one rather than get a better keeper in.
 
Did an awesome job when he rushed out to dive on the ball at one stage. A millisecond off and it would have been a penalty but very very brave. Had he dithered that would possibly have been us down another goal.

I like both keepers. Very little between them.

Excellent no2, but if we lose Ederson in the summer we better add a top class goal keeper to a very long list.
