Should be one of the first out the door.

Turning into Phil Jones now with this injury record.

If it’s plantar fasciitis then I don’t think there is a surgery that can fix it.
I’ve just asked Dr Google and there does seem to be some surgery that can help, but we’ve no idea if it would help Stones as we don’t know what issues he actually has!

Puts his body on the line for us, i'd wager likely against medical advice and numpties on here want to thank him by throwing him out of the door at first opportunity.

Because the repeated examples of almost every defender we have on the books being rushed back, thrown in too early, instantly pushed to the limit and ultimately quickly breaking down again isn't enough evidence that it's not the players fault.

Tbf John Stones's injury record speaks for itself, but yes Pep rushing him back has things worse.

Why do you beleive he is being rushed and played against medical advice?, he hasn't played for weeks even when desperately needed and even against utd was only used as a sub.

I’m pretty sure you could see the moment the injury returned-around 30 mins, he runs back and then takes an age to turn around and get back into position. He wasn’t fit to start.

Akanji was also struggling like mad in the last 20-I thought I saw him holding the inside of his left thigh? Poss fatigue..

The point is it’s continually needing players to return from injury without being fully fit and then playing them every few days until they inevitably break again (see Dias).

No denying he's a sick note, it's 50/50 if he gets out of bed each morning injured but the level any criticism at him for today's break down is inappropriate when the manager has even admitted to throwing his defenders back in less than 100%

Because peps done it all season long and we've seen all of them, including players not known for having many injuries suffer the same fate. Pep has said we've got 1 defender that he would describe as properly fit, all the rest are playing at far less than 100% it can be no surprise to anybody that playing stones at less than 100% results in an injury. He's done this for 2 months now, it's prolonged and worsened the injury problems and we've got 1 win in 12 to show for it.

Pep said himself he’d only trained for two days prior to this game.
He only got like 2 days of training before the derby as well, so maybe 4 days of training over 2 weeks after being out for over a month just isn't good fitness management.
