I fear we lose at least two of those. We’ve got 4 very winnable games now in Everton, Leicester, west ham and salford. Win those 4 and hopefully things will look a bit different.
That's the spirit. You may be right. We’ve got 4 very winnable games now in Everton, Leicester, west ham and salford. Win those 4 and hopefully things will look a bit different.
I don’t think so. I think we win all 4.I fear we lose at least two of those.
I’ve had a drink mate, but I think you may have overdone it. But how I hope you’re right!!I don’t think so. I think we win all 4.
Me and you both. I’ve gone from optimism before the game to despair after 30 seconds. Acceptance after about 40 minutes and just proper fuckedoffness by 90. I’m now a bit pissed and somehow seeing positives that aren’t there.I’ve had a drink mate, but I think you may have overdone it. But how I hope you’re right!!
Ok ..generally well argued post, mate, but we have every right to debate this current crisis and you may have a different analysis from others but don't try and merely shut down discussion by calling other analyses 'prattling on' ffsI have sat down, had four crumpets with butter and a think. I think some mild panic is ok but slagging off pep and the players is way over the top
Injuries kicked in all at the same time a few games after rodders , wholesale and some serious ones , most notable kev . We had to keep using the same group of older p!ayers and gundy who was never expected to play every game when he came back , we have done him no favours really
The last four years in particular but in truth nine years have been high paced and mega intensive , every record broken, title after title , last four years have drained them, most just cant press anymore , it is not that they dont want to do it
The young kids are not the answer , do i really need to explain why. And do we still have to drone on about fucking palmer , he fits the chavs but didnt fit us
As in life , this too will pass , if you want to support us then do but if you dont just fuck off and stop prattling on !
Really? I don’t. Arsenal couldn’t beat Everton and even last season we struggled to break them down.I don’t think so. I think we win all 4.
It was always very difficult to win away against Villa with the players we have available and we will have a few more struggles yet before we come out of the other side. Many posters have rightly said that some players are either not good enough physically or mentally need to move on so we have what we have at the moment.
Sometimes it is just not possible to turn things around in the short term without abandoning core principals and this is such a time. Only last season the football and style we played won the league and it hasn't just got "found out", it's the players that cannot execute Pep ball.
So what next, well we have to tough this one out like we have many time in our past history, however this time we are looking at months rather than years before we are a very good team again. Zero players will arrive next month with txiki still beong here and they will be eager to win things and do well, the ones not so interested one way or another will be free to go another path in the summer.
Interesting analysis. Inclined to agree especially last paragraph. It's a disastrous run.
As in virtually all disasters it's not x1 big issue but a combination of multiple smaller issues resulting in a failure
that noone expected at the time.
Continued success with a tight small squad, results in an ageing squad, as it negatively impacts change.
Younger talented players can leave as continued success negates their opportunities eg Palmer & Others
Proven younger top quality players can leave as they can become top targets for other clubs eg Alvarez.
Continued success blinds club to sourcing younger proven world class, as they don't need them now.....
Early season warnings... Gundog/Silva/Walker poor. KDB benched injured. Foden missing in action too
But results OK, so no alarm bells yet.....
Then Rodri out for season, then more injuries. Older players frailties more exposed. Lose midfield control.
Defence exposed. Offense weakened. Individual errors increase. Confidence falls individually & as aTeam.
Team has not been there before and neither has Manager so not a surprise that they are finding it difficult.
Management Team will find a way to improve confidence with injection of new signings, maybe EDS input
or revised tactical approach. If they don't improve results or prefer to walk, then they'll simply be replaced.
We are a business. Khaldoon demands results and success.
Oh come on Kaz, it has to be Lurpak and nothing else:)Unsalted , so much i could barely taste the crumpets lol
Just to add...Khaldoon et al know they've screwed up so I expect developments early in the New Year.Interesting analysis. Inclined to agree especially last paragraph.
Alright ya ****, no need to kill my optimism ;)Really? I don’t. Arsenal couldn’t beat Everton and even last season we struggled to break them down.
You should change your username to ‘itiswilting’There's no way we can accept months of this. It's not sustainable for any club let alone a top club like ours.
