I sincerely hope you're right. It's a painful five months in store if we don’t take swift and decisive action. Clearly we need to be looking at release clauses as the deals are so much more simple to conclude. I like all of the players you have listed but I'm not sure how attainable they all would be. Williams is the only straightforward one, the others might take a bit of time and negotiation. I actually trust Sam Lee on Zubimendi here - I think we've had indication that he doesn’t want to come and has a bad back anyway. Reijnders might also be an outside shout.

Reijnders would defo be a player mate and if we have to over pay slightly then so be it but we just cant go on like this? Stones, Bernardo, KDB, Walker, Phillips and maybe even Grealish and Ake should and the last two could be toast in the summer? We have to start that process NOW! Khaldoon is too competitive imo to allow this just to carry on until the summer as we can’t keep players fit as it is, Rodri still needs looking after when he gets back and the full back area is a shitshow
 
If there is absolutely no reasonable CM available then buy for the future. Go and get Wharton and let him bed in so he's ready to go for next season.

Me too. I admired Bernardo’s loyalty to his Mrs as well, wanting to leave Manchester every summer for the past 3 years. Fair play to him.

And tbh why wouldn't MacAtee want to move ?

Still don't understand Pep's treatment of him, as there surely has been opportunities for him to play more, but ..........

Anyway I hope he does what is right for him, and that it doesn't become another Palmer copy.

He should be angry after every game that Pep stays loyal to players who are letting him down time & time again.
He wants the experienced players to get the squad through this rather than players who are fearless and hungry like Mcatee, Nico and Jacob wright, James was always rated higher than any other youth player and if he does turn into a palmer copy then it’s completely Pep’s fault.

Would be the bargain of the century at 60m mate.

He’s going to be a phenomenal player. Great engine, strong as fuck, fast, mobile, aggressive and uses the ball well.

If we’ve got the slightest bit about us we go and get this kid in January and get this rebuild started.

Him and Reijnders would be a beautifully balanced central midfield.

Tony Bloom is going to be really easy to deal with now we’ve forced him to account for interest on his ‘soft’ loans to Brighton

I think we can forget any deals with his club for the foreseeable unless we are talking very silly money , remember he got £180m out of Chelsea for Caicedo and Cucurella

Flip the coin over, and Bloom now has to factor in the interest on those loans and has spent £200m last summer. They’ll have to sell within the next couple of years to balance that outlay.

Yeah, I don’t think Bloom will be our biggest fan these days unfortunately. If he is the guy though , we need to put our big boy pants on and get it done
