I think with the lack of pre-season we'd have seen a lot of him initially and allowed Savinho to steadily integrate that way and Jack/Doku to rotate the other side but the way things have played out we'd have had Bobb starting every game as a 10 due to injuries/form of others.

He has that x factor on the ball that we lack, and presses how we used to - with intensity and ensuring he blocks the route of an easy pass with his body shape. That is completely missing from our game at the moment.

He is completely different to Alvarez.First Julian arrived a champion winner of the Copa Libertadores and Argentine league,a player with the seleccion and 21.Etcheverry is an 18 year old mostly substitute in a team who failed.He has great technique better than Alvarez but not the same attitude or physique or experience.He is a huge talent and as an Argentine he wont worry much about the physicality when he gets accustomed to it.But now on his own in a strange country leaving a Buenos Aires of 35° dont expect miracles

Where is he.
The same as that lad we got from West Ham at the start of the season.
I reckon Gundogan has them locked up in his cellar.

I suggest you drastically dial down your hopes. This lad likely will not get any significant game time. Nevermind getting himself ahead of thE likes of kdb and foden, he'll be behind Mcatee who isn't getting any minutes himself.

Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if he starts against Salford.

The pecking order exists in Pep's head and its not on ability, because Gundogan should currently be sat at home with Wright, O'Reilly and McAtee ahead of him but instead hes starting every game.

Yes I have read this, that Echeverri will be given permission by City to represent Argentina U20 in the upcoming Sudamericano. Argentina have a punishing open schedule of matches Jan 24th, 26th, 28th, and 1st Feb, before the later stages, if they progress.

Four teams from this tournament qualify for the U20 World Cup to be held in Chile 27 September to 19 October, should Argentina qualify.
