Last Film You Saw

"The Order"

Flavours of the month Jude Law and Nicholas Holt starring.

Not every film has to have a formula of beginning, middle and end and this displays that. It gets to the necessary bits which a viewer might make the observation of with an another film of this type. Is that good? I don't know.

I like when Brits take US lead roles as they have no skin in the game for US mannerisms and the interpretations are free flowing. Just my opinion.

It passed the time.

Just tried watching the latest Joker movie ("Folie a deux"). I lasted 20 minutes (Oo-err). It's shite. In my measured opinion*. And, apparently, it's set to lose $125-200m, depending on who you believe.

So it may not be just my opinion!

*other opinions are available.
I thought the 1st was shite also.

The Reader. About 10-15 years old now. I'd never seen it. Very good and thought provoking. Kate Winslett and Ralph Feines - who was superb, as ever - as was the young German actor who played Bert Trautmann in The Keeper. 8 out of 10.
(It had a big fault in the plot that stopped it getting a 9, but I won't bore you with that detail, or I'll be typing till the New Year!)
