I can’t understand the logic behind that thinking mate? Pep is publicly saying he needs players, mentioned the players want new players and some of the squad are going in a matter of months?

We'll see, he doesn't normally sign anyone, and I don't think he will this year, it's only my opinion, and I hope it's wrong.

However, I think January signings are often poor and desperate (not just for City), I think you pay over the odds, and get sub standard.

Pep didn't sign that contract without the reassurances of signings in Jan.

Worse case scenario we get 3 signings like Nunes where we dont get our first choice but we will sign 2/3 players.

Paqueta would've been a Phillip level mistake, he's so overated

He's had a good 6 months of proper consistent good form since he moved to West Ham

West Ham mates say he's been shit for a long time, constantly gives the ball away cheaply and makes rash challenges

Give he'd have cost close to £100mil, so glad we avoided him, even at the time when he was linked to us he had his best season even then it seemed like he wouldn't be nearly good enough

I would be surprised if we signed any more than 1 player, and even that I wouldn't bet on. But then it IS Txiki's last transfer window here so who the hell knows, he might lump it all on the table and go out with a bang.

I'd prefer to miss out on CL than panic buy squad players. Our next four signings have to improve our first eleven. Not improve us in 2 years, not give us options, but improve us on the pitch week to week. A year ago it was hard for any top player to sign for us and see where they fit on the pitch, currently there isn't a position on the pitch that isn't up for grabs if a top player wants to have the team built around them.
