To be honest, I have never warmed to Musk. A very clever person but he has incredibly thin skin. He publicly and incorrectly defamed the British Cave Diver involved in the Thai cave rescue a few years back, never apologised and then used his money to escape any consequences. He sticks his nose into way too much, especially other countries business, while clearly knowing very little. He just isn't a nice person imo.

It's not for that reason. It relates to a meme coin, a crypto currency based on a fad. He has likely bought a stake or knows someone who has and is doing a favour.

Not sure that Crypto is regulated in the same way. It's also basically the way meme coins operate, they are NFTs they aren't meant to be worth money when the fad is over.

In essence it isn't anything different from Mollusc hyping the latest Christmas toy.

If people buy these coins as an investment they deserve to lose all their money.
