West Ham (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

Three points -result was always going to be more important than the performance given our obvious deficiencies at present.
Also
* Match thread wankers
* love this club
So you are posting on a match thread so what does that make you (and me)

We won. Surely 3pts is more important, at this moment of the season, than the performance?
That is a very simplistic way of looking at it.
We are not Leicester (no disrespect to them)
I don't see any progress. I see a stubborn man refusing to accept that change is needed.

Moaning fuckers when we lose and moaning fuckers when we win can’t believe some fannies on here.
Fans are all the same. This group are worse than the RedCafe ManU fans, but very similar to the AFTV fuckers…Very entitled.
I read in Klopp’s farewell event YouTube comment that a Liverpool fan said Klop with just one EPL and one UCL title in so many years and so much spending should have been gone earlier. In the Inter Milan’s treble season fans kept posting that Zanetti and Cambiasso should be sold as they represent mediocre. These comments read shocking but the fans thought they are tough-loving their clubs and speaking honestly. No they are not loving, they are just venting with limited football IQ and the twats are stains on their club’s name.

Points are the priority, then performance. However, the performances have been mostly consistent and below where they should be. Through injuries, fatigue and significant drop off in capacity.

The fact we got 3 points today is mainly due to the quality of a few players for us (and the lack of quality for West Ham) rather than the team performance - which is something new for Pep's City. Despite what some want to say, it is clearly an issue that needs to be addressed, as it has been raised by Pep.

Of course. Doesn’t mean people shouldn’t discuss the poor points to the performance without being called out for it.

People can be buzzing with the three points but and still even enjoy discussing where we were poor.
You are correct mate, nothing wrong with criticism of players/team, Pep did himself after the game by saying we are nowhere near the City we usually are.

What frustrates me and I think some others is the same roughly about 10 posters who post the same negative shite in each and every match day thread, some of its truly weird.

Criticise when it’s needed as today even though we won comfortably enough, but remember these same players have given us everything over the past seasons and there is no need to rip them apart when they are clearly struggling, some of the things said are fucking disgraceful!

It is possible to criticise and still get behind the team, no one has to dismantle the players as is currently happening with Walker, Gundogan and KDB. In my mind three absolute legends of the club who are definitely struggling and deserve a large amount of the current criticism, but also do not deserve to be spoken about as if they are some journeymen players we have just brought in this season.

It'll come when we get players fully fit and maybe a few new additions.
We just need to ride out this season and get points on the board with either shit 4-1 wins, stuffy 1-0's or a goal off erling's arse.

Personally to me 3pts is better than playing teams off the park and getting nothing. Gonna be a tough watch but we're going to have to go through it.

Lol

A couple of unlinked observations post-match.

Firstly, I think it was a mistake for WHU to play Kudus on the wing when I'm sure he played, at least, coming into the middle where he caused us most damage, last time. That said, I'm glad Lofi Baby did that!

Secondly, I've just checked out NBC highlights and the views for our game are 4x that of the Arse.

Wondering if people are more hate watching or interested in us finding some kind of form...?

Do you think the first two substitutions were a good decision by Pep ?

The way our defence and midfield are playing at present the only way we will win games is if our attack is as good and consistent as the Brazil team in the 1970 World Cup Finals.

A game where the chances were converted and they missed most of theirs.

Savinho was a threat and is building up confidence.

Thought Akanji was fortunate to get a foul when dithering on the ball. Playing around at the back these days seems an error waiting to happen.

West Ham really missed Bowen. They will struggle whilst he is out injured.

The digging at those who post criticism on here is ridiculous. It's a post match thread; say what you think - just as if you were talking about it with your mates in the pub after the match. We don't all see it the same way.

If someone has a different opinion to you, SFW? Ignore it; laugh and poke fun at it; or argue about the opinion - not their right to express it.

Some of you want to sanitise the place too much and abolish any criticism of the team or Pep. If you're a happy clapper, just respond to the criticism - don't call for it to be silenced. It's a forum!
