City bus scheme for home games - bus tracking (P91)

No doubt this will have been discussed to death but can someone give me a quick idea on how these shuttle buses work and if they're worth the mither?

I was going to cycle to the match tomorrow but given the weather forecast it is probably not a good idea - what's the craic with the shuttle bus? (I am in Stockport).

I could get the 203 then the tram, or the Heaton chapel train (assuming they're not cancelled again) but that's a nightmare post-game.
I thought the Stockport bus picked up at Heaton Chapel

has two stops in hazel grove and offerton if that helps

I've thought of doing it for after games, but always worried it will drive off before I get the bus back ha
I thought that before I took the bus home for the first time, but they wait for about half an hour after the game finishes before they set off, which is plenty of time when you only have to walk for a few minutes to get to them.

I catch the bus home after every game now as it's a much more comfortable experience than being crammed into the tram.

The services are growing in popularity and TfGM certainly communicate well in an attempt to improve and expand the routes.

The bus station behind Connell College is very convenient.

Bus 13 rammed today
Yep was on it today. Did wonder what do they class as full, all seats sold or is standing ok? Thinking of getting it home after Chelsea but wonder what the capacity is and if they keep getting more popular when they will start putting more on. Great that it’s had good uptake hope its here to stay

I took the bus home to Hale and it was standing room only. Just a few months ago it was sit where you want.

I heard a few people say they take the tram to the game, but take the bus home, and I'm the same.

The reason I take the tram over the bus to go to the ground is the scheduled time of the bus arriving at the stadium.
An hour before kick off is too long for me to be mooching around with nothing to do, particularly at this time of year when it's cold and miserable weather wise.

Hopefully, TfGM recognise the popularity of the service and provide enough vehicles to take us all home after the game, with demand increasing after every match.

Ping a mail to TfGM they are usually responsive to constructive comment.

You posh fuckers could get luxury coaches in winter and open top buses in summer, praps even a home collection service.

Ye you can stand it’s just like a normal bus, thise who get tram and then bus back might in future nit be able to, I know they make sure everyone who has a return gets on first, so if it’s full on the way in they won’t let people get singles back, unless of course a return passenger doesn’t turn up.

That’s good I should be fine then, I did it for the derby but that bus seemed quieter than yesterday

Not the Bus scheme but with the Bee Network taking Over from stagecoach, will the City matchday buses still run from Piccadilly.
