They are on some mighty fine run and this is a game where we must not take any liberty's, on our game from the first whistle.

This is a tricky one if we go all out 2nd string. It's a bit damned if I do and damned if Pep don't. If he plays 2nd string and we lose he gets pelters from everywhere. If he plays a strong team and we get more injuries then again he gets pelters from everywhere . Please start with a 2/3rds first 11, tell the team to make no silly mistakes and take their chances and we'll be good to rest a few after 60/70 mins. 4-1 again.
I agree. Could be a banana skin this, especially if we play a side cobbled together with inexperienced youth and experienced players who need a rest. Salford may be huge underdogs but they will be up for it as they are on a good run having won their last 5 games. If they play their strongest side they could cause us problems because they'll know aot more about our weaknesses than we do theirs.

Although we should win Pep needs to be pragmatic and respectful and pick a balanced side with enough experience and drive to get the job done.

There are a number of players who’ve missed a lot of games through injury who need to minutes in their legs so should be playing in this game.

The one I would rest is Nathan Aké who has been playing with painkiller injections and can only get through about 70mins at the moment. A good 10 day break for him will be great. But others need fitness after injuries so get them playing and keep the momentum of two wins going.

All day long. I think there's a few we need to rest like Ake, Kev and possibly Bernardo, maybe one or two others. But play a strong spine and we should be OK.

I've been moved by City into 115 for the game but, it'll be interesting to watch how many in SS3 are there at the end if we give them a tattering.

I can't imagine any raggy infiltrators hanging around to clap them off.
The real/regular Salford followers will applaud the team irrespective of the result.

We're not going to win the FA Cup so the trip to the Etihad is a free hit, gives us a decent amount of money as well as allowing us the opportunity to enjoy the experience of a sell out crowd in a Premier League ground. I'm just hoping we remain competitive and don't concede early on. Anything else will be a bonus. Promotion from EFL2 is our priority and after a poor start to the season six consecutive wins without conceding a goal has put us right in contention with our next game at home to Fleetwood Town being far more important in the great scheme of things. Still don't want us to get battered though!
