The good old days and a sign to yank owners would be if we were signing the likes of Guimaraes and Guehi then going full tilt to overtake Liverpool this season.

These young signings, if we get them, may or may not be good or even great in a few years. Or be out on loan in Italy.

I could not disagree more, superb talents with huge potential and a CM to come.

Disagree, Guehi would be as underwhelming as they come as a signing. Going out and signing Madrid's future planning from in front of their noses is much more of a statement of intent

In the summer I would like to see one or 2 high quality British players come in as we see the old guard start to move on. Gordon would certainly be on the list if they fail to get CL.

Gordon's a good player, but if we get Marmoush and already have Savio, Bobb, Doku Grealish if not sold and Foden who can be used I don't see a wide player being a priority.

We already have huge young talents, it's a dearth of players in their prime that's killing us.

It's well and good buying high quality young players but it's more important that we address the lack of players in their prime.

We need at least one quality central midfielder aged 25-27.

Might not be what most were expecting but, so long as these "muscle issues" which have cropped up this season aren't major, knows the league/club and is pretty mobile.
