I find it really weird that people call Walker "brain dead", Yes he has had a few brain farts at his time here but he's certainly done more good than harm...

The best right back to ever play in the Premier League is "brain dead".

Ok

I don't think match intelligence is a static trait though. Brain dead isn't the phrase I'd use but I certainly think he's gone from a very astute defender to someone who regularly makes huge mistakes and lapses of concentration. To me, at least, he's detirorated massively in that respect.

Zaba mate
Zaba was never better than Walker. He was more of a cult hero, a better relationship with the fans, I prefer him to Walker as a City legend, he probably has more heart and fight than any player we’ve ever had and he was a very good but not great player… whereas Walker at his best was the best full back in the world at the time, he’s probably the best right back in PL history.

Yep & we were lucky to have him. Been a huge part of our success. As I keep saying - ask VJ :)

When he had pace, yes. Now he's lost the pace he once had and look at him now. That's how he would have played if he never had any pace in the first place.
:-) FFS

So how would Gareth Bale, Thierry Henry, Arjen Robben ect have played with no pace? Nowhere near as good I'd imagine...

Some players have pace, Others don't, That's how football works...That's like saying "Messi would be pretty useless if he couldn't dribble"...

£35m for someone who’s played 11 games in France and cost Lens £100,000 18 months ago. WTAF. Pep will surely have sanctioned it so I’ll trust him.
Sounds a mad one, I’d never heard of him ten days ago. Not that I’m a scout for EDS age defenders from Central Asia, mind.

Messi was decent as a player but lets face it without the hype would he have been rated above Joey Barton?

I don't rate Messi as he always played for top teams. He never proved himself at Rochdale or Prestwich Heys.

(For avoidance of doubt, I'm parodying what morons say about Pep.)

Unless they’re asking you to fund it, don’t worry about it. The club know what they’re doing. £35m in todays money isn’t that much relatively speaking.

No doubt Kyle Walker is past his best, His performances this season prove he's really struggling and he's lost yards of pace, Plus it doesn't help when plagued with injuries missing influential players such as Rodri maybe Walker wouldn't be getting exposed as much as he has been...

Still, We can't get away from the fact that he's been an unbelievable servant for us and we wouldn't have won what we won without him. He's an absolute class act "on the pitch".

I'm sure basically every winger in Europe will be glad of his decline especially Vini Jr and Mbappe.

Apparently Pep is just "throwing more money at it again" to fix things...

Make you laugh some of the shite people say...

So is this lad the first Uzbeken player in the english top league?

I know Peter Odenwingie was born in the soviet union in the area Uzbekistan now is bit does that count

It's a lack of self belief as he is aware of his loss of form due to ageing as well as the media making a mountain of the situation in his personal life nothing to do with him losing his football intelligence
