NFL 2024-25

There’s always next year for the Raiders.

Or the next one.

Or the next one.

Some day, some time, possibly not in my lifetime it will click again for us.

I am going to make a prediction (nothing Nostradamus-like):

Deion Sanders will be your HC within two years and you will look to draft Shedeur (sp?) Sanders from Colorado (Deion's son) later this year. If Raiders are to get Shedeur, they likely have to offer the Browns a nice draft haul (pick swap plus a 2nd in 2025 and a 1st in 2026) to move up to 2nd pick in 2025.

The Raiders are being beaten to the punch by other teams (e.g. Patriots and Bears) in interviewing HC candidates.

We can dream, mate, however that would display a degree of business acumen and forward thinking that our owner (the Turnip) just ain’t got.

There were a few bright sparks this season and an absolute stud in Brock Bowers but as long as our QB room stays as it is, we’ll just bumble along while the Turnip counts the money rolling in. Oh and maybe somebody got him colouring in book and some crayons for Xmas. That’ll pass the time for him…

Typical Raiders. In position for a high draft spot. Win a couple of absolutely meaningless games and fire the HC anyway.

What Bowers has done, with those QBs, is incredible.

Bowers is some player. Remarkable what he did in his first year.

It’s time for Mike Tomlin to go.
Tomlin's career has parallels with Wenger in some ways. Steelers took a risk on a relatively unknown & inexperienced coach and he's repaid that faith in many ways. But he seems to have run out of ideas.

He's won just one Superbowl as head coach and should have done so much better with the talent he's had at his disposal. His post-season record is terrible but his biggest failure was not being more ruthless and replacing Big Ben earlier, letting him struggle on when he could barely move, let alone run.

F**k Philly.

Hopefully the Ravens do it now the Pack can’t.

To be fair I thought it was going to cost us by not taking 3 points early doors
Yep, really brave.

I see the “quarter final” next weekend is 1am Sunday morning - I didn’t stay up for last night, just saw highlights this morning, but I’ll deffo be staying up for Detroit :-)

I stayed up and at half time I was a bit concerned with our defence especially Lattimore who seemed a bit overhyped and getting his arse handed to him but credit to Daniels and also Ekeler who had a fine game and our ever reliable number one wide receiver Scary Terry
