RIP Tony Book

Tony Book's Blue and white army,RIP.
Always remember this being written as graffiti on a building near the running track at Springfield park Rochdale back in the 70s.
My dad would run 8 laps of the track every night while I kicked a ball around the pitch in the middle of it, while looking over at the graffiti and imagining playing for City.
RIP Skip

Genuine club legend, did the lot Player, coach, manager etc and did it with grace and style.

RIP Skipper you will be long remembered and cherished.

A man who just was CITY. A true servant to the club for decades - stepped into the void when needed the most in a number of dark times and led us to trophy wins as a player including a European one. One of my boyhood heroes - RIP Tony Book to me you will always be a footballing giant

CITY, CITY, CITY,CITY, CITY, CITY,CITY, CITY, CITY,CITY, CITY, CITY !!!!!

A great player, a great manager, and a great ambassador for the club. He scored one of his rare goals in my first visit to Maine Road, a 2-0 win v Everton.
I met him a couple of times and he was always willing to talk about his career and City in general.
