Brentford (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

As I said earlier mate, draw away win at home gets you Top 4.

(Still feels shite when you were 2-0 up though)
But we've been dropping points at home so need to start winning away.
Draw at home and win away is an average of two points per game. We've got 35 points from 21 games so we're already seven points behind.

nonsense. he was key in a treble winning defence. he needs a rest thats all and a midfield in front of him
he was shambolic tonight. a rest ??? why he's not injured. he let a guy inches smaller out jump him for their second goal and bang goes 2 points

nearly cost us in the UCL final as he always has a mistake in him. he was protected by having Rodri in front and Dias alongside. vastly overrated as Ake is streets ahead. dortmund fans weren't bothered when he left.
hes ok but not elite and wouldn't start when Dias is back. he's praised as he was gotten cheap, but our defence this year can't stop conceding and he's at the heart of it

We had a two goal lead with 10 mins to play, attacking players had done their job despite several wasted chances.

Defence couldn’t do their job and close the game out, wouldn’t rely on them being able to close a fucking door at present.
He makes the correct decisions game is out of sight

Don’t get your hopes up, we had one win in 13 and we’ve still not signed anyone in over two weeks of the window being open.
Still preparing bids with pretty ribbons on and a letter in the box saying Dear Eintracht Frankfurt we bid £ 5,000,000 for Marmoush do you accept?

Can't keep carrying these players that have hit the brick wall

Can carry a De Bruyne, as he still works hard and is capable of creating a winning moment

But can't keep carrying a Nunes, a Kovacic, a Bernardo, a Gundogan on top of having clear issues with the 1st choice keeper

Don't think we did enough to win tonight, but it's so clear that there's 4 or 5 first team regulars, who look like they're at the end of the road, and unfortunately, they're still being relied on as that's all we have

Fingers crossed this Marmoush comes in and sparks us in the final 3rd, as Haaland is crying out for some link up, and then hopefully we can bring in something in midfield

It’s piss poor coaching throughout the club.
Fitness/conditioning coaches don’t seem to be doing much as other teams play as much of us and don’t look fucked after half time. Added our woeful defending and finishing and set pieces, you do wonder what we do in between games.
We’re not coached to chase the ball back into defence. We’re coached to retain the ball in the opposition half with short passes. He’s said it himself, they’re not capable of going back to front and front to back 40 times a game.

Our training is rondo. Just rondo. Keep the ball

The already insufferable McAtee fanclub (already pretty much as bad as the Palmer one) got what they were constantly wailing for with Pep bringing him on to supposedly "control the game"

He then proceeded to miss a sitter just before Brentford equalise.
How can anyone come out of this game and blame it on Mcatee, you absolute bell.
