Bored of this already. The same shit being churned out every day with absolutely no real update just so the journalists can fill the air and seem like they know what’s happening.
I concur but this is nothing compared to the Gvardiol saga. That dragged on for ages

I think you forget the reason why we're so keen on signing him this window is cause the player is showing a lot of desire to join us. I would be wary of Arsenal if the player wasn't too keen on joining us and also from all the reports it kinda seems as if we know we can pay the money but we're just penny pinching so I wouldn't be surprised if we sign him today.
It sounds like we are his no 1 choice, let's hope we can get this deal over the line and then move onto midfield options.

I raise you the 115 charges thread, 2 years over 82,000 posts and fuck all has happened. Every day its on the front page. We must have the lowest boredom threshold of any football fans in the world(say in best Jeremy Clarkson voice)

Some City fans have such short memories. We would have all took this season as it has paned out for the previous seasons where we have won absolutey everything. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.
Surely both points are true. Why does having a piss poor window in June mean fans have forgotten we won the league in May?

Are we saying that the summer of 2012 was a great window signing the likes of Rodwell, Sinclair, Maicon & Garcia because if we say it was below par we had forgotten Agueros goal?

The world of social media, where every contributor is the editor of their own output, and their income depends on clicks and likes, leads to 'news' every moment of every day, even when there is none. It's hard, but the advice to wait until it comes from the club is the soundest of all, even if there are a very small number of journalists whose output may be trustworthy.

Yep, we need a top DM this window
I think the target City have in mind isn't available in this window and like I've said before any top Dm is going to think twice before coming to City because they are always going to be playing second fiddle to Rodders. It's not going to be easy for City.

This.
As I have said, I would prefer to choose someone from the academy who is capable of playing alongside Rodri and of stepping into his role to relieve Rodri of gametime. If this is not going to be the case, then we need to recruit someone for that because no top player is coming to be Rodri's whipping boy.

The issue that we have currently, is that none of our midfielders is a natural 6 - none of them. All of them: Kova, Gundo, Kev, Phil, Bernardo are natural 8s or 10s. At the same time, all the players who could possibly fulfill that have been injured or ill. We need someone to just sit there, hardly move, and snuff out danger before it even starts. Rodri's size, strength, and positional sense make him the best in the world at this, and the fact that his technique on the ball is so good too is why he is the Ballon d'Or winner.

Just seen Declan Rice saying he thinks Arsenal are going to need to move in the market for a left sided wing type player as they had to play Tierney there for a bit last night........... We really should get Marmoush sorted asap.

There is a world of difference in saying we had a poor transfer window, and the club are incompetent and have been the last few years.

Another chancer....."so many legal issues" lol, means "I'm completely guessing, but have inserted my get out if it doesn't happen" all of them guess.
Frankly that happens with any negotiation.

If those doing the deal are close but not yet agreed even they are not 100 percent sure until contract signed by the player and the 2 clubs.

Price Agreed?
I really hope so. We need him ASAP in our attack. Hopefully we get a good 6/8 hybrid to solve our s*** midfield, ASAP!

...what legal issues? There's transfer bollocks all over X 24/7.

That said, I think we will get this done. Just send a couple more quid their way.

That’s why I’ve said for ages we don’t need a Rodri replacement/backup. We need a Rodri COMPLIMENT. Someone who can play both 6 and 8 and has the attributes that Rodri doesn’t, mainly legs and energy. That’s why Zubimendi would have been a poor signing for us. What’s the point of buying a Rodri-lite? We’d just be doubling down on his weaknesses. We need an energetic 6/8 hybrid, like oh I know… the guy who had a release clause in the summer that we didn’t act on… Bruno G. We don’t need a pure defensive midfielder. They need to be able to do more than that, otherwise it doesn’t work when Rodri is back.

The original comment was ''the last 2 years has seen some serious incompetence and questionable decisions in squad management''

The last 2 summer transfer windows have been very questionable to say the least. Very reminiscent to the summer of 2012 where the club seemed to become very complacent.
