You can take the Girl out of Australia but not the Australia out of the girl...
Looks can be deceiving, of course, but she hardly looks like she would be a talented footballer. Her face is very doughy. And no, I'm not body shaming her. I'd say the same about a male player.

Is it true they’re showing the men’s game in full on Sunday on all the concourse tvs pre-match?
I’m sure I recall something like that announced at the recent men’s Cup game.

A lot of attacking players on the roster for few actual positions in matches.

I think we still need defensive cover but I'm not too worried about us being being too stacked up front. When you look at the strength in depth Chelsea have going forward we need to be matching that. And we still look very weak as soon as we lose Hemp or Shaw. Plus Miedema is permanently crocked sadly.

Viv was rushed back by Arsenal and by all accounts not given the level of rehab top athletes should receive. Prior to doing her ACL she didn’t miss many games. Hopefully the surgery she’s just had will finally sort her knee out and we see her a lot more.

I don't know about Arsenal's women's team but if I recall we've had a few players, on the men's side, in the recent past that came from there and supposedly had injury issues but did well here. Maybe their training staff, physios, doctors or whatever are part of the issue?

I've heard this and it might well be true but whoever's fault it is (if anyone's at all) the fact remains she's had two lots of knee surgery and two long layoffs since returning from the ACL so i think it's legitimate to be concerned that she could keep breaking down moving forward. It's a shame because in her short bursts of getting back to fitness she's shown her knack for goal definitely hasn't left her

Not sure about the men’s side but I have heard some criticism around Vivs recovery and that the women at Arsenal don’t get personalised rehab care unlike the men so you could be on to something

There’s a difference in being concerned and saying she’s permanently crocked mate! Ha
I think it’s too early to say to be honest. You’d like to think now she goes on a good run of games now she’s hopefully had her knee finally sorted. It sounded like prior to the knee surgery she had in October, she could have kept playing but complications from the previous surgeries meant it was a good idea to rectify now before we likely need her more in the latter stages of the season. We seem to be quite patient with her so I’m hoping we can get her fit and she helps us push for the title.

Think it's really hard to say. I don't really pay too much attention to what the women's team are saying around injuries these days as they've clearly adopted a policy of keeping serious injuries under wraps (not really sure what purpose that policy serves as players talk and there's no way other players and other clubs don't know the true extent of other rival teams' injuries).

I think there are a lot of red flags as to Miedema's ability to stay fit but given she came on a free I've always felt it was a chance worth taking. My main point in this thread was that i still think it's right to sign a player of Kerolin's quality when they become available. There's always injuries around the first team and the reason Chelsea have stayed ahead of the pack is that they have massive squad depth

Taylor almost all but confirmed that Alanna is leaving in his presser:

I know she is not very popular on here, but I like her. In my opinion, when she joined us, she was much better. Also, she plays much better for Australia. That leaves me to believe it is the inept coaching of our brilliant one that lead to players’ decline, and so far these methods never led to significant improvement of any player (at least I don’t remember any).
