PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

You're right, the Guardian are about as left wing as Keir Starmer. It's about time Socialist Worker or the Fabians took their place.

I was thinking why they are so successful at dividing & conquering & people believing bullshit in the media.

When I was young there were trades / labour clubs, union / social clubs, cheap beer & time to talk. In the 1600s coffee shops were banned to stop dissent somehow they found a way to do it.

Fair point but I think if we're going for the costs involved in defending the club completely exonerated would leave us in a far stronger position.

If we do get a fine I'd imagine an appeal would be a possibility. However the scenario of City asking for costs and/or damages will have Masters and his cohorts absolutely shitting themselves.
Don't get me wrong, I'd have appealed the costs at CAS but, like with them i'm not sure we can anyway....weren't some posters suggesting there's nowhere to go after the case result anyway?

I doubt that's the case with any decision but....well you never know.

From memory Mancini was sacked by Inter and was hired for UAE consultancy work as it was always the intention for him to replace Hughes at the end of the season. He was given a contract which stopped other clubs from approaching him.

Hughes was then sacked mid season and Mancini replaced him. I'm sure I read the contract for his UAE consultation work was renegotiated and he was obviously given a contract to manage City.

He could do both jobs simultaneously, he didn't need to even be in the UAE or do any work for them himself, he could contract that out or employ a colleague to oversee that part of his remit.

I could be way wrong but that's what I remember from a few years back.
The Mancini contract is a complete red herring as far as the charges are concerned and I don't disagree with anything you've said.

My point was that it's the only part of the charges that the PL wouldn't have known about prior to the Der Spiegel articles.

Probably, and I've no doubt that should that happen and we get fined they will.

The CAS result showed that and we just sucked the minor miscellaneous up.
Ye but that was a little bit different I think we just wanted it over, this one is a witch hunt and Khaldoon wants it done once and for all and our name cleared of everything. I can’t see how we can be done for non cooperation if we win all the other charges they are intrinsically linked, if the evidence shows us not guilty then they have all the evidence.

No, but they can ask Fifa to put one in, although unless I've missed something (99% guaranteed nowadays I'm afraid) then I'm not sure why you posted that?
I could ask the same as to why you posted yours ? I was just making it clear that the PL themselves cannot administer transfer bans and would have to go via FIFA, but they would also have to have a legitimate reason for asking.
Under the circumstances they aint got a leg to stand on I would assume, so it was as I said it was pointless even mentioning it, not just you but others who appear to have got wet knickers over one stupid post that they`ve read on X (thats not a kiss for you by the way) ;)

I don’t think it will be Simon Jordan.
No.
And TBH it was a rhetorical question.
I welcome the growing attitude within the media that things may be quite favourable for us, but I really don’t see the media angle of getting away with it/something changing.
As many have stated all along. The damage is done and it has been very wearing for the last decade or so, that constant undermining of our achievements and attempt at reputational damage has definitely happened, although worldwide maybe nowhere near as much as domestically.

I don’t expect any apologies, but welcome an end to this charade once and for all.

I think the club can have a huge impact on how this is reported post a finding in our favour.

I know the club won’t want to throw the baby out with the bath water but that doesn’t mean they have to hold back when derision with the comms at the other end of this.

I’m sceptical they will do what’s needed though.

In the event of City being cleared of the charges brought by Masters and the PL, who will be the first to call out the massive waste of time, money and effort involved in satisfying the demands of the cabal members ?

Who will be calling for the head of Masters and acolytes who have allowed themselves to be driven by the greed of others ?
I'm going for Nick Harris or Delaney.

Edit: just seen jimharri's post. Great minds and all that.

I can't remember the details. On the CL there was an investigation that we refused to cooperate with so those charges made sense. Has there been a similar PL investigation we've refused to meaningfully engage with or does the non co-op charges mean that we have not cooperated with annual reviews and stuff?

Be interesting to see how Harris deals with this, if it goes our way. Will he front it out, or just disappear? The odds on his openly admitting he was wrong are absolute zero.

I think Delaney, as dumb as he is, will probably be a bit more pragmatic, simply because, unlike Harris, he actually has a journalistic career to maintain.

That is the litmus test regarding the integrity of the media surely ?
media and fake low iq jurnos are like pied piper , just ask any rags at old toilet or rat boy or bruno

I would love it if at the start of the case Lord Pannick asked the question to the Premier League , have we provided all the information you asked for before we start the tribunal? If the answer was yes then no failure to co operate
