WSL Man Utd (H) 19/01/25

He did. She’s been better than Yamashita so far this season.
I wasn't talking about her. There are top quality keepers available out there. Any team at any level will find the foundation of success starts at the ability of a good keeper.

Thoroughly disappointing result, they were nothing special but our first 20-30 mins were diabolical.
Quite why we kept passing back to Keating is beyond me. For all those claiming her distribution is better than our Japanese keeper's I'd say it clearly isn't. I think only one clearance made it to a blue shirt.
We started the game half asleep, as though they would be happy to sit and watch us pass from side to side. Our passing was quite poor and their pressing was quite effective. We gifted them three goals in the first half. Fought back to make the score line more reasonable then came a further cock up in the second.
No idea why Taylor left it so late to make changes, probably because he had no idea of what to do.

It's not just the keepers, they just seem to stand out, the play in general is so poor.
It's just not for me, gl ladies and CTID nevertheless.

Goodnight.
Thanks for letting us know - I'm sure we'll all sleep sounder tonight with that vital information

Chance to avenge this defeat on Wednesday in the cup
Like it.

Apart from the result was gutted about being sat by some mouthy reds and by the thought of how long it’s going to take this blue car park to empty. I love the smell of exhaust fumes for an hour.

But yep, good point.
So frustrating cos in general play and for the vast majority of the match, we were the better team, even with our diminished team.

I’m not entirely sure on Knack, but tbf very harsh to judge her on one game.
Frustrated by some of our shooting and how slow it was. Was like watching Grealish; so slow to get the shot off, that when we did shoot it was invariably blocked.

Never seen such a poor performance from two of our best players - Yui and Laia have been awful. Jess Park needs to work harder she has started to stand still after losing possession. LB-B looks busy but doesn't seem to have the quality to really dominate a midfield. Our best has been both wide players and Viv.

Utd have won because they have been first to the ball and it's been a tale of 2 keepers - Shocking from Taylor tactically and subs again. I was hoping to see some improvement from him but he always seems to send his players in big games without intensity and energy - slow ponderous play wins you nothing.
I think, like the men's team, there's a serious lack of athleticism in our midfield. Compare the size of some of the ragettes to our lot - it was like watching women v girls

Rotten day at the office for Khiara. She plays a risky a game and you have to accept the downsides that come with that, but today she had an absolute howler. If she could improve her judgement she'd be world class.

We actually played q well for long periods today but we were never off the back foot thanks to the goals we gifted them.

I think Knaak showed enough to suggest she'll be a decent stand in for Greenwood. But we also saw today (and over the past 2 months) that this squad isn't equipped to deal with more than one key absence at a time. No Hemp and no Shaw leaves us too light up front. The lack of directness and physicality was so clear.

Ouahabi needs upgrading too. Keating will be blamed for the third but she played a pass that was clearly what she was expected to do and Ouahabi was half asleep. Cant see it happening this January but we have to upgrade on her in the summer.

Yes, I thought we were generally the better team
