Yeah, I enjoy watching other clubs play too. I've done it a few times. I'd never go wearing City gear, though.

Imagine going on a jolly with your mates, and in the group chat the night before, you ask, 'Has everyone remembered their City bobblehats?'

Proper weirdo behaviour lol

He's probably done a deal with other staff hoovering them up...maybe they work a system amongst themselves to share them around.

Same rules we are supposed to follow aren't in play....

John Murray mentioned them on 5live during the commentary, he met them walking by the river pre-game, they had been to 3 PL games over the weekend, so not just connected at City.

Yeah, I think it's not so much that players and staff are getting tickets but moreso the number of tickets that they're getting
 
I don't think this would be as bad if they didn't make it blatantly obvious by wearing the same items of clothing to each game!

As somebody else said I would completely understand 2 or 3 tickets being given to a staff member for a game but 8??!!

Yep, you must've been near me mate. Pretty strange as it's not like I was surrounded by tourists. They were clearly regular City fans but few were joining in. 75% of the away end was bouncing but not so much where we were.

They do only get 2.

Every player and member of first team staff is entitled to 2.
Someone - traditionally the captain but I don't know if this is still the case - organises who wants their ticket and if anyone requests more and then they get delt out.
So a few of them didn't want their ticket and someone asked for 8.

I agree that they shouldn't wear other teams stuff in our end like at Liverpool and I agree this could have been avoided if they didn't make it so obvious but ultimately it's fine and nothing wrong has been done.
This isn't a new thing this has been the case for decades.
 
Strange isn’t it.

All 8 of them were wearing Barcelona shirts at Anfield, so they stood out.
All 8 of them were wearing 8 light brown beanie hats at Ipswich so they stood out.
If was paranoid, I’d be thinking this was being set up by the club to test the fans reaction to large groups of tourists and football fans getting away tickets.(instead of City fans)
I’m sure that isn’t the case though.

The only reason that wouldn't be true is because the club wouldn't give a shit about testing whether City fans were bothered!

If the club did care they would make all away ticket allocations transparent and available for the fans to see, even as a percentage. The club won’t even do that. The usual commercially sensitive information (excuse) for away ticket allocations wouldn’t wash.

Leyton Orient is going to be an interesting one.

How many tickets will the fans actually get once the club have taken their allocation, and sponsor and hospitality allocations?

I reckon so. If they were arsed to go to Ipswich, they'll make it to Arsenal. Probably have Barcelona shirts with Fabregas on the back too.
