Welcome Abdukodir Khusanov

Yeah, they overlapped. When Watson arrived, he looked just the ticket. Solid as a bloody rock. Him and Tueart, what a couple of acquisitions! Thank you Sunderland! (There was a third, Horswill, who never really made it). When I think back, there was so much talent in that team — it really is tragic that they only won the League Cup. They should have won a couple of First Division titles, at least. Perhaps the only weak player in that line-up was Mike Channon, and even he occasionally had good days.

That team absolutely should have won the league; it came close. And Swales brought Allision back to make the difference and he went and fucking dismantled it and ruined us for 30 odd years. Still love Big Mal but his place at MCFC was first team coach not manager.

Stones, Dias are both dominant in the air and Ake is quite good too. What stood out for me about Kompany was his ability to defend one on one. Very few forwards would beat him. Stones can do that too, but Stones doesn't play much. Dias and Ake can struggle for pace when exposed one on one. I think Khusanov will partner Dias in the long term.

I liked Dave Watson too. Tony Book's side of the 1976 was the first City side I remember. They were good for about 4 seasons maybe and those were the last good times we would know for about 30 years apart from the briefest of interludes with John Bond, Kendall/Reid and Brian Horton. The good times returned under Joe Royle, Watson's old team mate. I think they would have played together?
Ake has the best leap , so did Otmendi for their size

Not sure if this has been mentioned, just seen a video from City, Fernandinho welcoming Reis to the club, could he be coming in as a possible coach? helps Khusanov also as Dinho speaks Russian.

He was learning French.

There are no issues with the communication side. He probably can speak passable French and a few of our players could speak Russian, even though that isn't his or their native Language either.

Lots of pointing should sort it out. He couldn't speak French at the start of the season and I doubt it's advanced much in the subsequent few months he was there, but he clearly did what he was told on the pitch and I'm sure he'll settle in at City over the next few months.

Could still communicate with his teamates on the field.

When the sirens were heard in the background of the training video, Khusanov stopped and shouted ‘I’ll take ya all on ya bastards’.

He would kill you if you gave him a boiled egg.

Love him already.
