President Trump

I believe he stands as an independent.

And despite being slightly older than Trump sounds way more lucid.

Yeah, nominally, strangely it didn't stop him running for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016 and 2020, finishing in second place both times against Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.

Trump and his supporters claim he is the second coming of christ and a 'Godly man', yet a bishop asking him to show compassion is suddenly 'political'? Absolutely absurd.

What political agenda was she driving? Rhe was just asking him to show compassion you dullard. The thiness of Trumps skin and his supporters like yourself is absolutely staggering. He's pathetic, he could barely look her in the eye. Weak as piss mate.

Trump won the popular vote, you might comfort yourself by imagining all those millions as bible hugging rednecks, but you'd be wrong, and your propensity to get it wrong is the reason progressives lose time and time again.

Clearly you don't like it when your bullshit gets called out, the mark of a little man.

PS: I don't support Trump, I just don't support bullshit.

Answer the question.

How can you claim to be a 'Christian' and then you meet a real 'Christian' and suddenly fall apart.

Trump and his sycophants wouldn't know Christian values if it slapped them in the fucking arse.

Give over.

It was a highly political and partisan speech, you don't see it that way coz you agree with it. Why ask for compassion if you believe the Presidents policies are compassionate? Why ask for empathy if you believe the President's policies are empathetic, you don't. You only ask for these things if you believe what Trump is going to do, was elected to do, is punitive and vindictive, lacking in compassion and empathy. The Bishop even referenced a group that deserves the President's support that Trump doesn't believe exists, that he wiped out of existence by a stoke of a pen not 24 hours before!

You think Trumps politics are mean and nasty, the Bishop agrees, that's political.

You think...

You think Trump lacks empathy, but you don't when you call his supporters "mentally disabled"?

That's the problem with people who think they're nice, they think it gives them licence to shit on those they deem not nice.

This was politics disguised as the moral high ground, plain and simple, but don't get your knickers in a twist though, the church has done it before and will do it again.
Once him and his supporters brought the bible into play, they were fair game for the church, surely?
Day 2, they all claim to fervently believe in ‘free speech’ but it seems that’s only if they like it. Surely he could have given some examples of his ‘compassion’, said he disagreed with the minister but believed in her right to say it? But no, she’s a “horrible person” and she’s “very bad at her job”.
He’s like a fucking 7 year old.

I've never really considered the US to be forward thinking or pioneers of anything. The fact that segregation was still in place in the 1960s is abhorrent and highlights just how backwards the place has always been (yet you'll still hear folk say places like the middle east are centuries behind the rest of the world).

I can't see much hope for anything to change positively over there. They've already gone full Ministry of Truth. Maybe the sheep will wake up and realise they've voted in the wolves, but I reckon they're all fucked now.
Thanks for your concern.

I thought that - according to RFK who wants to run health - all vaccines were useless and didn't work? Can this be made to make sense?

Just because you believe something false is true doesn't mean it is...

RFK has said a million times he isn't against vaccines. He is fully vaccinated and so are his children. He just thinks we should study the effects and he is suspicious of Vaccine Companies.... How leftist of him. I know this is really complex stuff these days.

Anyway, the FDA a week to transferring power, banned red dye #3. A cancer causing additive that Europe long ago banned but American allowed.

The very kind of problem RFK whined about yearly....Hmmmm... I wonder if there are any connection...

Who cares.... RFK joined the Red shitgibbon so he is dead to us. Dead I say!!! Dead!!!

The Bishop asking for compassion has fuck all to do with politics. What was she supposed to do, just get in line and shut the fuck up like every other spineless **** who just stands back and lets him do whatever the fuck he wants? People will suffer greatly as a result of his policies.

I'm far from religious, but the Bishop showed great courage in speaking truth to power The real question is why did she feel the need to say it at all when she knew what the backlash would be?

Because Trump is a vindictive ****; always has been. Just ask his niece, Mary.

An A+ post on common sense.

Spot on.

I don't know why everybody gets so upset about these things. The Church is hardly going to say enjoy your time Mr President when he plans to attack and divide certain groups. The religiousness involved in these type of things is purely ceremonial and she took her shot and she'll be forgotten.

The only difference is she stood up and said something but I doubt Trump will lose sleep over it. It probably won't hit the spot with the supposed American right-leaning Christians but then again that itself is a massive hypocrisy.

It's ironic that gun ownership amongst Christians in the US is higher than the general population... That is a group of people who claim to be pro-life all mostly own a weapon capable of ending somebody else's life. You can't imagine anything more un-Christian if you tried.
