This was really good. Thanks for the recommendation.

Just finished listening to Transmissions the story of Joy division and Neworder. Enjoyable if you're a fan like me. Kevin Cummins even manages to get a City menion in the last episode

I listened to this, really good programme.
Just starting it in work, cheers.

Some of his bouncers ran the door in Hampo's in Eccles in the late 90's. They were spot on with me. They used to take the piss out of City but I gave as good as I got. I had to be barred one night after an incident with a lad whose 21st birthday was being held there. They barred me and told me to leave. Then, when I got outside, one of them followed me round the corner. I thought I was going to get done over but he said "Kev, you know you were out of order and because it's a function, we have to look like we're dealing with you but your barred for tonight. See you tomorrow."

Edit - cross posting this here and the Musk thread as kinda relevant to both

Couldnt see this anywhere else so thought id post it in here....a really interesting podcast called "Elon's Spies"....clearly just the tiniest tip of the Musk iceberg, but an alarming and worthwhile listen:

An insight into the lengths he'll go to for what are ultimately, of little concern. Makes you think what lengths will he go to (or is he going to) for more serious issues

sports bizarre is a must for any sports lover i think - two Aust comedians / media guys (titus O'Rielly and mick molloy), talking strange but amusing true stories from all types of sports, from some of the early Olympic games, football (good one on frank worthington and another on the wimbledon crazy gang) , horse racing (how the melbourne cup started), tour de france, boxing, baseball, hitlers olympics was fascinating .. all delivered in a humorous way. well worth a listen - they just started one on bizarre animal stories but not listened to any of them.

Just listened to a couple of the scarred for life episodes. Very good, cheers for the recommendation.

This is a really good series from the Economist. All about Pig Butchering, which is massive Crypto scamming that essentially runs and funds a lot of Far Eastern criminal gangs.

8 part series, which is both insightful and scary.
