Thank You Kyle Walker

Thanks for all he did at the club will always remember him giving some of the fastest wingers a yard then catching them up overtaking them and taking the ball off them. His greatest attribute was his pace, not the greatest footballer technically but, he was a vital element in the one off the greatest ever teams and their collective achievements will go down in history.
Hope he enjoys his time in Italy settles down and gets his mojo back should have gone sooner but he was convinced to stay and won the fourth so, not such a bad decision. His leaving statement was class and once a blue always a blue

Probably the only City keeper ever to never let a goal in. Can’t think of another one, maybe I’m wrong. Best full back the league has ever seen, no doubt. We’ll miss him, thank you Kyle for all the memories.

Hope we get chance to give him a proper send off, so vital to Citys success.
In the old days we use to have testimonials for long serving players but that tradition seems to have disappeared I guess thanks to lucrative preseason tours and a very congested fixture list.

I do miss them. Was always a great opportunity to say thank you and goodbye.
Should have had one for David an Kun…..

I'm not crying, I've just hot something in my eye. That night against Real Madrid at home, arguably Citys greatest ever performance and without doubt Walkers. Gave Vinicious jnr 5 yards start and took the ball off him like an adult to a toddler. I couldn't believe what i was witnessing. That's how we should remember him. An absolute fuckin baller! Good luck Kyle lad.
Couldn’t agree more. I saw Vinicius’s soul leave his body when Kyle took the ball off him. Absolutely killed him off in that game.

Greatest Premier League RB ever
I thought that would be Gary Neville/ Trent Alexander Arnold?

Just kidding.
Great post though, it's a pity we didn't sell beginning of the season, simply because his drop off this season might become a shabby excuse to tarnish his reputation.

I still remember a couple of seasons where his presence or absence would determine whether Real Madrid - that multiple CL winning team - would have a chance against us.

Too young to have seen the Colin Bell era.
But last 15 years - like David Silva, Aguero, Fernandinho etc, one of a long line of players who we so fortunate to have seen live with our eyes.

His attitude as captain pulled us along last season and tireless hard work I think it took a lot out of him mentally and physically
Thank you Kyle

I'd agree with that, and I'd add that it took a lot out of the whole team. The result has been injuries and jadedness across the board. The result is plain to see.
Anyway, this thread isn't about that. Thanks to a very great servant to the club. Probably my favourite full back, along with Donachie, Zab and, of course, Skip.

It’s very indicative of the characteristics of the blue moon cohort that thread after thread where members moan and bitch in an entitled way about every little thing reach way upwards of the 16 page thread count here celebrating the career of one of our greatest ever defenders
