I'm genuinely amazed at the reaction to us signing 2 young defenders for £30m each, and Marmoush.
I guarantee most of those complaining had never heard of all 3 a month ago.
Not like we're signing 3 ready made world class players

Are we not allowed to sign anyone even though we're sitting with millions in the bank from the previous transfer windows when we sold players for big fees and didn't replace them?

Has Pep and the club not been criticized all winter for not freshening the squad up with younger signings when we were on top the last few years?
They're shitting it mate, they want us to go away!

Sky Sports presenter Simon Thomas was forced to apologise to Manchester City live on air after comments made by pundit Tim Sherwood on Soccer Saturday.

Speaking ahead of City's clash against Chelsea on Saturday, former Tottenham and Aston Villa boss Sherwood discussed Pep Guardiola's men making three signings this month after the arrivals of Omar Marmoush, Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov.

Sherwood questioned how City were "the only club who could spend money" despite their 115 charges by Premier League over allegedly breaking financial rules.

He said: "They seem to be the only team who can spend money and they’ve got 115 [charges] over their head."

When asked by fellow pundit Paul Merson if he felt City would be given a transfer embargo if they are handed a punishment by the Premier League, he added: Perhaps yeah, they must know something.

These players they’ve brought in are certainly for now and the future. They’re trying to build for the future, they made a mistake by not buying in the summer. If there’s players available they will go and get them, even if they have to pay over the top, they don’t care. Man City make their own rules up."

Following an ad break, Thomas said: "Welcome back, before we get underway, the whistles going around the country, we had a conversation earlier today in the build up about Manchester City, their transfer business.

There was a comment made about Manchester City and the rules. I just want to say that they are absolutely not the views of Sky Sports and we apologise to Manchester City for those comments."

Sherwood should've been made to apologise the shithouse!

So what's the wording on the apology?
That’s what I’ve been trying to find out, but I can’t find a clip of it anywhere.

Apparently the presenter wasn’t blameless though too either, the way he led Sherwood into the comments, making insinuations about us.

The Club should write to Sky asap Monday morning and put down a marker about this sort of shite in any future broadcasts.
I’d also expect/hope for the presenter to get a written warning or whatever too.

Edit.
Here it is @69FACUPfinal

" It took fewer than six minutes of Abdukodir Khusanov’s debut for the £33.8m centre-back to be given a round of sarcastic applause for making a successful five-yard backpass to Ederson".

Part of a report from The Guardian. How can applause be sarcastic ? I don't understand how the reporter couldn't see that we clapped to give the lad confidence , given his shaky start .

It seems it's now fair game in the press to go in hard on a 19 year old debutant who has had one training session and can't speak English . Both reports , in this apology for a sports section , spend more time piling in on him than anything else . Why not talk about a truly limp performance from Chelsea (where Palmer goes MIA) and their car crash recent form or City's switch from possession based football to improvisation and route one .

Appalling and brutal approach. Let's hope the dressing room uses it .
