SSL3 was super tonight. Not many better home atmospheres in league this season from anyone. Can't fault the atmosphere today for me

Adults moaning about the light show again, people need to realise it's not meant for you, it's for kids and tourists. it's not my cup of tea either but it causes no harm. When they played love will tear us apart on the annoy during that light show, loads joined in and created one of the loudest pre-match noises we've made in a very long time, it resulted in more noise than we would have got without one so what's the problem?

We were loud today, supported the team throughout, it gave a noticeable lift to the tempo on the pitch a few times which is thr most we can ever do.

Their fans were really, really poor. Chelsea fans aren't known for being great but they're usually alright when we play them and it's generally a big game which always creates noise. Not like they were getting battered either, winning for a lot of the first half and drawing for a decent time after that and still it felt like they were say a fulham losing 6-0 with the lack of noise from them.

I agree.

Best atmosphere for a long long time last night. SL3 was absoluteley bouncing.

For those that think the atmosphere and noise doesn't help. Of course it does. I could see the crowd lift the team funnily enough at 1-0 down and again when Akanji made a poor clearance 2nd half. We have to make it like that every game at home. I really hope the club listen.

Dead on.

The only reason it bothers people is that they want to be “massive blues” and be above it all.

Ive been going since 1979 and loved that show today.
Bit different.

Not sure if you are being funny or I have just misread your post. Not on about the light show. THats for the kids. I'm talking about us FOC's making that noise last night
SSL3 is getting bigger every match seems the cheap seats are bringing the best up there now, imagine they put those prices in the new stand it would be rocking especially second half when City kick that way.

Best atmosphere in absolute ages and it was all down to one thing - our tempo! For once we played the game with some urgency and less slowing everything down. The crowd rose to it, I'm still waiting for that first bone crunching 50/50 tackle under Pep but yesterday was the first time in about 20 games I felt we had turned a corner. The crowd also helped sway the referees decision in booking their player for time wasting early on rather than in the 89th minute. We can make a difference, I know for a fact because one of our players told me personally that the away support the team feel is incredible but at home when a mislaid pass goes astray and there is an audible groan it does affect some players. Come on Blues lets roar them on for the rest of the season now.

It's very moving when the hustle and bustle and hum of a huge gathering of tens of thousands of people dies down and there is total silence for a minute in honour of a fallen great.

No amount of lasers and clapping and cheering and singing can match the poignancy of a minute's silence
1. Applause during the "silence" is because it's what fans started doing.
2. It drowns out people deliberately breaking the silence or just coming in loudly from the concourse.
3. Yesterday, after people had applauded through the tributes, they announced there would be a time of applause on the referee's whistle...
4. At Remembrance Services, most people seem to think The Last Post is the silence, and the end of the Last Post the cue for applause.

Bottom line is whether applause or silence really makes a difference to what we're remembering.

Backward, inbred, bigots and gormless Rab C Nesbit lookalikes.

Most Scottish club fans are the same, but both the Glasgow arseholes plumb the sewers !!
Always found the Jambos sound, great up at Tyney and thousands at Fleetwood pre season all over the ground and in the pubs no trouble at all even though they lost heavily.

Thought the atmosphere was very good yesterday including more songs starting in the north stand.
The tempo of the game certainly helped. Josko's two poor misses, Phil hitting the post, and the disallowed goal helped as they create excitement and get the crowd going. Fifteen passes backwards and sideways before going back to Ederson kills the atmosphere. I'm not saying we should go long ball for 90 minutes, but superb, intricate football with no end product doesn't generate much noise if it doesn't result in a goal.

I sit in the North Stand, level 2. Every game i scutter to myself about all the empty seats in SS3, dozens if not hundreds. Knowing there are proper Blues that can't get tickets for many reasons, moreover price.
(Sell them on here. I used to all the time when one of us couldn't go.)
Yesterday it was really full and you could hear and feel the difference .
Maybe those nasty emails from City are working, to get the supporters into their seats or at least list their tickets!

Going back decades, players say that atmosphere both helps and encourages (when it’s your own fans), and hinders and intimidates (when it’s the opposition fans).

Like you say, of course it does!
