We know what we have to do, and thats win the game, which I think we'll do by 2 clear goals but any scruffy win, will do. CTID
Do Brugge have to win or can they attempt to play out a filibuster of a game. I expect two banks of five, a four goal lead before we realise it's the Champions League and not the Capitulation League. Sound win - the best win of our CL games. Positive positive positive.

Let's forget Wednesday. We're at home, we're hitting some kind of form and we're getting better every week. I honestly believe we can still achieve one last great thing with this core group. For some this is one last hurrah and a chance at a CL. Best Brugges, take a more than winnable playoff and keep fucking pushing. This team can still beat anybody on it's day. Let's get behind the fucking team.
Love it pal

A draw guarantees Brugge qualification.

A loss and they then need any 2 combinations of the scenarios below:
- Juventus to beat Benfica at home.
- A winner in the PSG-Stuttgart game.
- Bologna to beat Sporting away.
- Any result in the Dinamo Zagreb-Milan game as long as there isn't a 6 goal swing between them and Zagreb (e.g. Zagreb win 3-0, Brugge lose 3-0).

I think they should be alright regardless.

No disrespect but if we can’t beat club Brugge then we don’t really deserve to go through.
Based on our performances so far in this competition, we don’t really deserve to go through, but Liverpool won it with a similarly shit record in the group stage, so fuck it, let’s win the damn thing!

Think Pep might be tempted to keep kovacic gundogan and Bernardo together. That leaves de bruyne on the bench.

Ederson
Nunes stones akanji gvardiol
Bernardo kovacic gundogan
Foden haaland savinho

A team full of players who know that this might be the single biggest game in which they're ever going to be involved is a dangerous beastie.
An early deflected goal, wonder strike etc and with the wind in their sails they could give anybody a game in a one-off.
I fancy us, of course, but wouldn't dismiss this bunch so lightly...

Good work! I couldn't be arsed to work that out :)

We need to be 100% fully focused on the job in hand for the full game, We can not turn off and feel the job is done if we are leading by a couple, Pep has to get everything right and no silly subs thinking we are ok. Mentally the players Pep has got for this game can and have this season turned off and through away games, PSG last week should be the wake-up and smell-the-coffee moment and it can not happen again.

I do feel we will be ok and win by 2 or 3, But let's hope we won't turn off this time

With hindsight, PSG might have done us a favour.
They might have been the straw that broke the camel's back in finally forcing Pep to play to our current strengths.

This past week has seen us finally try a completely different style; introduce another top striker who really looks the part (and should liberate our Striking Viking!); and, of course, see Erling commit his career to City!

The future's bright - the future's Sky Blue!

As daft as it sounds, looking at the current table, Brugge could be better off losing.
They are almost certainly through as it is and coming nearer to the 24th position could give them a more favourable opponent.

Yep. I hope Pep goes with the same formation, tactics and tempo. We will win that way. If Stones is fit enough bring him in, move Phil to the middle and put in Savinho on the left.

Does carry a risk for them though.

The main game they're interested in will be Stuttgart-PSG, if that's a draw, their odds of going out greatly increase.
