Kev's influence is really on the wane, that's what happens when they get older...instead of 3 great games in 5, I good and one okay one it goes to 1 great, 2 okay and 2 pretty poor.
Such an insipid 1st half, really need some changes at HT and go for it 2nd half...we can still do it

Perhaps that goal is a blessing in disguise, helping to galvanise the lads and help them take the shackles off, as we have nothing to lose at this point.

I don’t think we have played poorly, really, we were just struggling to breakdown the low block, as has been the case recently, which will likely become easier in the second half.

Nunes didn’t cover himself in glory with his defending for their goal, of course, but he is also not a defender, so I don’t think it is fair to be overly critical there. He is doing the job asked of him the best he can.

Pep will light a fire in the dressing room (to match the one outside of the stadium) and we will see a much more aggressive performance in the second half.

My bold FT score prediction: City 2 - 1 Brugge

people said after Chelsea game maybe Pep wants a more direct approach with long balls etc.

well not many managers as stupid as Maresca to do high line vs City and Haaland. sit back like Brugge and most of our opponents and watch Haaland and co not even getting shots off let alone on targets one.

could be last 45 mins of CL this season coming up if we dont turn this around. 30-40m revenue out the window at last too.

Savinho needs to come on, but this was really a game to get the lead early on to dont let them sit back. we did the opposite, slow attacks, not enough firepower, and speed, and we conceded on a counter.

Pep said in presser he wont tell the weaknesses of Brugge front of press but tell them to his players. Maybe he kept it as a secret from the team too? ffs

unless its cannon fodders Bratislava or Prague we didnt beat anyone in CL. sick.

come on CITYYYY

We played like that against Chelsea not just because of the high line but because of Marmoush's runs in behind and energy. Every time the midfield or Ederson looked up Marmoush was running in behind causing Chelsea all sorts of problems with their defence

Marmoush is the only guy we've got with pace who can make those runs? Maybe the tactics wouldn't be as good if that's someone else, but it would be hard for it to have been worse than what we just watched.

99% of those on this board could have told you that we were going to struggle with this lineup because we've watched it struggle all damned season. And Pep rolls it out with the same strategy in the most imporant CL game we've had this year? Whether its sentimentality or stubborness, it doesn't much look like the Pep and I am still pretty sure is the GOAT.
Yep.....and where is Marmoush tonight???? Not even on the fucking bench......what the fuck is going on...........
