Could you imagine us getting the same sympathetic coverage?

He's a bitter utd fan - unprofessional, unobjective bellendThink it's safe to say David Hytner isn't a fan. Match report was rather vindictive compared to those who reported on others this evening.
Good grief.
The Torygraph despise us, which is particularly odd given how enthralled they usually are by wealth.
Saw that. Just petty. It's like the narrative was already set for their articles before ko. Fuck em
Of course the BBC are hurting.5 live this morning.... Liverpool, arsenal, villa all through to last 16, celtic in play offs along with City who avoid humiliation.
I think they [The BBC] are upset that City qualified for the next bit.....
Well said, and agreed.Think you're looking at it the wrong way.
It's a testament to how they perceive us that "only" qualifying for the playoffs is seen as a massive embarrassment and a disaster.
I say this over and over and I will keep saying it over and over as I am convinced that this is the only logical conclusion to their actions. They do not hate us, they fear us. Not in the way you fear a spider, in the way you fear a Lovecraftian cosmic horror. The same way you might fear a planet eating galactic being.
When it wins, it is normal. When it doesn't do its full damage then it's a cause for celebration. When it loses, you throw a parade and congratulate each other on your bravery. They've already accepted the end of the world so anything better than that is up.
It would seem that us beating this Brugge team (undefeated in 20 games) is the worst 3-1 win of all time.
Just watched BBC CL Show - the first words in the opening sequence we hear are.......CODY GAKPO!!!! and the last ones "City are up against it"5 live this morning.... Liverpool, arsenal, villa all through to last 16, celtic in play offs along with City who avoid humiliation.
