I was more of the mind in giving him a Modric style extension...
But now im thinking we should just part ways at the end of the season.
His body cant do what his mind sees anymore.
Id rather we build for thr future in the summer, and give players like Bobb those attacking midfield minutes.
Same for Gundogan btw.
Bernie can still huff and puff, but just as a deeper central midfielder, so he and Kova should stay.

Sad to admit it, but it does seem like the magic he brings is fading. He probably still has the odd super sub appearance in him, but forcing him into the starting XI makes our midfield weaker and just takes minutes away from those who will be here long after him.

A poor performance and everybody has decided he's finished. Fickleness on full display here. Same people will no doubt be demanding a new contract for him if he goes and produces the good at the weekend. There's nobody else even close to kdb, if he's used sparingly and in the correct manner there's no better option we can have. He just needs to be fit, Pep needs to use him as the 33yr old that he is and not the 28 yr old he was, and us fans need to accept he won't produce at the frequency he once did.

Sad to see it but his time is done.
2nd best player I've seen in a city shirt behind el mago.
But the guys done..his legs have gone..amazing amazing player in his prime.
But he's not now.
Some players can adopt a different role like pirlo did.
I wish kev could but I don't see it.
Some of the balls he played I've never seen anything like it.
Genuinely one of the best players ever in the Premier.. but time to move on.

I’d be holding off offering him a contract to see what he can produce in the remainder of the season.
That should motivate him to be the best version of who he is now.
If it’s not enough, then we should be ruthless, although our track record on that isn’t good.

Kev sounds like a very self aware player, if he's not up to the level he thinks the team need him to be. He'll walk i reckon.

Hobbled off last night. Walked over to the bench after we scored the 3rd to speak with the medical team. Legs just aren't there anymore unfortunately and it is really evident.
Like Gundo, he'll have good games. But do you offer a whopper of a contract to somebody you can't get consistency from? Not for me, sadly.

There’s another report going around that he wants to make the 2026 World Cup. We’ll see how that all plays out, but the drop off in his duelling capacity this season is marked.
2026 seems a very long way away.

I think he'd be useful in QB midfielder role, but needs runners in every area around him and we don't have that right now. Gonna be an interesting summer.

He'll follow Walker in burning his legacy.
He's not gonna do a Modric in the PL.
His fitness, speed, accuracy and reactions are all proof that he's 34.
