Voted for win - more in terms of hope than expectation. This is going to be a very tough match and we still haven't sorted our defensive problems.

Everybody wetting themselves because its Arse ,they have no one to worry about
I said something similar earlier in the thread, Weeks gone past whoever Arsenal are playing I always say "Where's the goals coming from?".

I'm not going to change my mind all of a sudden just because we are facing them, Saka is their main man by a long distance and he's missing, I know we are suspect defensively this season and Arsenal might get a goal (more than likely from a set piece) but our firepower will win us this game.

Gooner here. Expecting a very tough match, slight uncertainty in so far as we have no idea what City side will turn up. If the one that played against Spurs turns up you're in trouble, the one that turned up against Ipswich with Foden creating mayhem turns up and we're in trouble.

Suspect it may be a draw. Expecting Arsenal to be less defensive than they usually are against City and play on the front foot more.

Raya was injured for the Girona game last night and his replacement Neto was atrocious so we hope Raya is back. Got a feeling the key players will be Gvardiol for City and Nwaneri for Arsenal.

Wrap Stones up in cotton wool. We’ve got bigger games on the horizon, we need to start looking after the defenders coming back from injury.
I've gone for the same as you apart from Stones for Nunes.

Stones has to play imo, This is a massive game, We should be looking to finish ahead of Arsenal this season, Plus getting a win at The Emirates would be a good confidence boost for the players going into more tough fixtures.

Our next game after Arsenal is Leyton Orient, Stones can sit that one out.

Stones can be rested at Leyton Orient, when the new boy can hopefully start.

I think Stones has to play, give the kid more time re communication and team mates.

I just think we’re asking for trouble playing Stones two games in a row. I’d rather our defenders be fit for the long term rather than breaking down every time they come back. We’ve got a huge month next month and we need everyone available.

Completely understandable.

It's a risk playing him twice in the space of 5 days, Seems like none of our centre backs can manage it so far this season, At least we know Ruben and Ake will be back after Leyton Orient.

The other side of things is Stones could also get injured in training.

The risk is real, and I hear you. I think we have to take it. Stones's ability on the ball, his ability to bring the ball out and set attacks going, is something of a palliative to Rod's absence. The only thing that is, in fact. Nunes doesn't even begin to offer that.
And that will be even more important if we can assume — and I think we can — that Kev will not play all (any?) of this match.
Anyway, Pep will know, and John will know himself, in training, whether he can manage it.

I think we'll play Stones on Sunday. Khusanov looked alright on Saturday after the first 5/10 minutes but it could hurt him long-term if there's a repeat of that, Pep effectively said himself he shouldn't have played but there weren't any other options.

After Sunday we've got 9-10 days until our next stiff opposition so hopefully we can manage Stones' minutes within that. To be fair I'd be putting him, De Bruyne, Dias and Haaland under house arrest for the Orient game ready for Bayern or Real.
