Priced out?

English clubs just take the piss.

Even tonight’s £30 ticket v Brugge is 16.6% more expensive than any Group Stage game last season. Why?!

Because people will pay it? Online sites are advertising cheapest for tonight at over £70 and they appear to be selling

I’m just waiting for us to tie in cup schemes with a season ticket as more people stop them as prices rise and extra CL games. I’m out of the CL after this season so tonight could be my last one. I can’t be arsed with night midweek soulless matches. I’ll never have enough points for the final going forward anyway, if we do get there again I’ll just try the UEFA website like I did for Chelsea in 2021.
Before this new League format, in the old Group Stage, clubs like Dortmund and Milan had the three home Group Stage games as part of your season ticket. Didn’t have to pay extra, just got three more games as part of the overall fee for the season.

It's part of the culture here now, getting cheap tickets is a thing of the past and people are now used to paying over the odds.

Now if everyone just said no we'd be in a much better position than we are now.

I agree with you but zero chance of that happening.

But the tickets were around £400 as cup scheme members got all the cheaper ones. A mate had 17,000 points but wasn't on the scheme and had to pay that much.
but saved on group stage, last 16 , quarter and Semi. so 6 game approx £200 quid - So off sets it a bit

This has to be the best one ever?

I know tge person who posted it on Facebook, but he didn’t include a link. He’s not arranging the trip.

Trouble is if you don't go the early games you won't qualifive for the knock out games.
I wouldn't go to cl games for that reason, I can't justify 2 days of work, staying over night for 3 'smaller' games in the hope of getting tickets for the knock out stage. Just doesn't make sence to spend over 500 quid in the hope of getting knock out game tickets.

Real Madrid it is.

Would anyone like to guess the ticket prices for a group stage knockout match at home against Real Madrid in the CL?

Surely the club has to find a balance between getting the support on the night that the team needs in the 1st leg, and affordable ticket prices to make that happen.

I’ll get to the point. We need a PL crowd, not a CL crowd. And we need the home ends to be totally full of ‘City fans’.

Should only be charging a fiver seeing as its only because of their incompetence that we have to shell out for extra game(s).

SC holders on the scheme should get a far better discounted price than we will. The club will see this as the equivalent of a QF tie i.e. fifth home game so I reckon it will be similar to the quarter final prices last year + £5

Last year against Madrid https://www.mancity.com/tickets/mens/man-city-v-real-madrid-information-2324-uefa-champions-league

They charge £63 for Brighton in the 300 blocks, so I'm guessing about £65 for Madrid.....but there won't be any tickets available to matchday supporters at that price, however you can get a £20 buffet as well and pay £500...
