Priced out?

Bang on the money ! I use to come and watch City regardless of who City were playing. Now I think do I want to pay 70quid to watch another park the bus team. Add on the travel, parking etc sadly I don't think it's worth it.
Now if it was two teams going head to head I would probably go, but the park the bus games do nothing to get me to commit to spending a whole weekend to watch 90 minutes of boring football
It's over coached mate and they all stopped being football clubs a long time ago, they are all brands, most of us are still in love with what we had rather than what we have.

I think its £54 in my seat in 201 - £1030 (did I get that right?) for 19 games
I'm in there as well, looking at the individual match day prices for our blk, can see a big increase on ST next season, hope I'm wrong

It really is mate, some people are priced out because they can't afford the prices and some because they are not prepared to pay the prices, a lot of people have to factor in travelling plus food and drink.

Whichever is the case you can rest assured that not a single club including us could care less.
So the latter are not priced out mate. Everyone can make decisions about how they spend their money. That’s always been the case.

I’m just waiting for us to tie in cup schemes with a season ticket as more people stop them as prices rise and extra CL games. I’m out of the CL after this season so tonight could be my last one. I can’t be arsed with night midweek soulless matches. I’ll never have enough points for the final going forward anyway, if we do get there again I’ll just try the UEFA website like I did for Chelsea in 2021.
I don't think the club has any desire to tie in the CL cup scheme to STs while they can sell available tickets at higher prices. Inter and Sparta Prague were both 50k, Feyenoord was 47k and tonight has sold out. It might be a different matter for the domestic cups but the club knows they are reaching the limits of elasticity regarding pricing and are aware many fans could give up their STs knowing they stand a good chance of tickets for the big games with an extra 7,000 seats available. That would also apply to the Thursday League next season if we miss top four.

You're willing to look for cheap tickets, some people aren't. Or perhaps they don't trust unofficial sales sites.
True mate but then I’m not sure those Blues are priced out. They may well be priced out if they can’t use the technology to access cheaper tickets.

FWIW, I’ve bought 2 tickets on here for the Liverpool game for £50 each for members of our OSC Branch. Very reasonable / fair from the seller. I’ve stopped buying home tickets from City for members of our OSC Branch because £75 for South Stand Level 3, plus £35 membership fees is too much. That will mean we won’t get tickets for the next home title decider but most members are season card holders any way.

If it's a price they are not willing to pay, they are priced out because the price is to high for them.

Well, they’re being. Football was always about going out with mates and the sense of togetherness as well as the 90 minutes for most. Yes, i suppose if someone wanted to be pedantic you could say well, just drive, don’t eat or drink and you could still afford it. So you’re still making a choice.

That is why a lot have thought fuck it half my mates aren’t even bothering because of the prices. So i might as well just watch it at home as travel and come straight back. They’re still being priced out in reality.

The discussion was about people choosing not to buy tickets for lower prices from unofficial pages / forums, or not having the info, confidence or IT skills to do so. It was also about Blues prioritising foreign holidays or other non essentials. Each to their own.

There’s also Blues who’ve definitely been priced out because they can’t afford any ticket(s) option.

Just wondering why someone would sell two tickets for a sold out game for thirty quid and include parking ?
You would need ask them. The Man City Face Value Tickets and Travel page is like a community where many charge face value and lots of others just want their seats to be used. Obviously, the bargains get snapped up fast.

But the tickets were around £400 as cup scheme members got all the cheaper ones. A mate had 17,000 points but wasn't on the scheme and had to pay that much.

This and the flights to Istanbul were very expensive at the time. I was very fortunate that I could combine my annual holiday with internal flights before I even knew I had secured a ticket. Worse case scenario I still had a holiday to fall back on and could watch it in a bar in Marmaris.

Tickets for Western European finals will be far more sought after.

I’m not disputing that. Just that the other guy said he’ll never have enough points ( not money ) for a final ticket.

I hate to ask, but does anybody else think the Ticket Compliance Dude will be having a good look at such pages?
