His defensive stats are actually mostly terrible.

Aerial duels - 42% win rate, shite for a 6'2 cdm
Tackles - 80%(49/61) solid
Interceptions - 8 in 24 games - awful.
Clearances - 11 awful
Fouls - 51... Kova most with 18 this season.
Cards - 9 yellows and 1 red


Puts himself about making tackles/fouls but outside of that he cant defend..Whoscored has him as a 10 in a 4-2-3-1 too atm.. Seems more Kovacic than Rodri

Based on Youtube, this guy looks really good. Could be a Rodri 2.0 if things go well. He seems technical, can pass well, and looks smart on the pitch. Plus, he gets to learn from the best - Rodri himself - and could take over from him in a few years. He can even play alongside him since he seems effective going forward too. So far, I really like what I've seen. Rodri is the best DM.
