I think the attacking power we have is looking awesome, Doku, Savinho, Bobb, Marmoush, Foden, Echeverri, Erling. The squad is not balanced, the defensive issues are obvious, no world class RB, LB and no DMs. It just means we will continue to concede too many goals eg to see off RM, to finish 2nd or 3rd in the Prem. That's all I was saying, I would absolutely love it if we went to the end of the season only conceding a few goals but there's no chance that will happen because the defence is biz. Why it got to this doesn't matter, its what we do in the summer to make sure win the PL next year.

He's not a 6, Pep has even come out and said that he doesn't want to play there. So why would signing Gonzalez have an impact?

I think he can show a little bit of patience - he's only been around the first team for half a season and it's understandable that Pep didn't want to throw him in, even if it was the wrong call.

Going to Chelsea where they seem set in midfield and have already heavily invested, rather than staying at City while we look to replace 4 or 5 midfielders over the next year or two seems odd.

González can play 6, 8 or even 10 at a push. He’s going to reduce minutes further for every fringe midfielder.
