I really dont think its physical with him. I've said earlier in this season he just lacks the veteran mentality you'd expect from someone with his resume. Like hes never quite matured on the field and doesnt feature any adaptability to his game. This all reads as soft-factors certainly but its just the vibe I get from watching him the last couple seasons.

Fair comment mate. But he's still as strong as a drink of water.
 
Had enough of him in the midfield now. Today wasn't solely on him.

Technically not good enough and doesn't make up for it with his physicality.
 
I have seen enough of him now.

He is a journey man and it really doesn’t bother him that much.

I’m done with him.

We were 3-1 down, he got crowded out by a rampaging Arsenal midfield
, lost out (unsurprisingly) ,instead of chasing to at least try and win the ball , he stopped to offer a helping hand to lift the Opponent back to his feet.

Unforgivable.

Nonsense. It’s his complete lack of control that is murdering our play between the middle and the front line.

Off the ball he does not even try.

It’s embarrassing.

I can’t fathom how anyone think he remotely belongs at this level. He’s there with Scott Sinclair and Kalvin Phillips in terms of being a bust.
 
he shouldnt start games for us in a row. he would be perfect as a rotational option, as an 8 brought in to shut up shop from a leading position, and start games vs the likes of bottom 4 clubs in the league and lesser CL clubs.
thats why he was signed for originally. and thats his limit.

now Pep wants him as a number 6 vs top opponents well look what PSG or Arsenal did to us. our midfield holds nothing together and certainly aint connect defence to attack.

its not his fault but more down to the awful recruitment we did in midfield recently.
 
dreadful. just so poor on the ball. probably the biggest reason why our season has been the way it is. Needs replacing immediately. not good enough
 
While he holds the ball for too long for sure, Pep reverting back to the 3241 in possession meant he and Bernie were easily pounced on.

Pep rectified this in previous games when we had this problem by having a 3rd midfielder to support them, but he didnt do it thia game for some reason, he prefered an 3rd CB in the back instead, making us more passive.
 
Yeah, not a long-term replacement for Rodri but we knew that anyway.

Would have been absolutely fine as a back-up if Rodri has stayed fit, occasionally dropping into DM for the odd game, but it wasn't to be.

A few questions marks over him but would be fine to see him stay beyond the summer.
 
For a bit of balance…we have nobody to replace him with. He’s easily been our best midfielder this season. That says more about the rest of them than Kova but that’s where we are. Hes not good enough to play every week for us but he wasn’t bought to play every week for us. It’s a shitstorm.

No, he is the problem.

We have a player who can’t receive the ball and move it forwards. Which is apparently what he’s meant to be great at.

Off the ball he’s horrendous.

Playing him is killing our season. Anyone would be better than that.
