Like I said, Txiki is not the only one to blame, but he is in charge of transfers. Of course he has to take the main part of the blame. I'm sure Pep didn't ask Txiki to replace these elite serial winners leaving with significantly and objectively worse players that no one was expecting to deliver anything close to the player they were replacing. If Pep get 3 options of players, the assumption should be that they are all good enough. If they are not, they should not been given as an option in the first place.

Do we actually believe that wirtz or musiala are gonna come to us at this moment in time. If it’s us against Real Madrid of Bayern then we will cone off losing . When we won the treble we where the best team in the world and that was the time to really make a mark and recruit elite players but in cane kova doku and nunes and the damage was done . We are now back to being just another good European team instead of the best .

Mistakes happen.

All we can do is try and put it right.

Why has the pull of pep not allowed us to go for the very top players? Is it only down to price? Do we not have that edge anymore? Genuine question.

Guimaraes is in no way an elite player.

I’d have Joelington and Tonali off Newcastle before him.

It’s a tricky one but I think they have a good relationship with him and are well aware of Bayern’s games. If City put £120 million down they will want to take it. Its just if a Pep and the $ plus the plan to take KDB’s crown are enough factors for Wirtz to come.

Players don’t look at the form of a team but the plan for them to be a star in the club’s future and the wages. Pep is still a huge factor too.

City could easily outbid Bayern. RM would be a problem but I don’t think they need him as they are stacked in that department.

I was listening to a German sports Journalist a few weeks ago and he said as far as he could see City would be the favourites as long as the player was willing.

I’m not saying we would get him but these things are all about timing. I wouldn’t say it was impossible at all.
 
Not getting a midfielder early in this window as no 1 priority, absolute shambles. Think Txiki was good and was great from about 2018-2021, but before and after meh. Pep is the greatest, Txiki is good. Too many misses to pretend he's better than that.
