Disappointed it would come at the expense of Nico O'Reilly but the different side of the coin he seems more advanced for what Pep exepects his midfielder to be and is a little more closer to Rodri's skill set (but the cavaet is O'Reilly has that potential as well).

Who is gona replace what KDB?
No one can press, pass, shoot, control the game, get Pep etc, as well as him.
No one work do what Bernardo did, play multiple positions to a high standard.
Walker, only guy who had speed and strength. Replacing him with Rico or Nunes is such a huge gulf in class.

Rodri is almost 30 with ACL, he isn’t gona be back to his level again. He might one day get to 9/10 standard but the 10/10 Rodri won’t be back.

Anyway, let’s see what happens but I can’t see next season being a successful one. It will just be a bit better with lots of cash spent.

Walker has gone and Akanji is a better RB than him now anyway. As soon as Dias/ Ake are fit or Khusanov/ Reis trusted, Akanji will move to RB.

Yes, KDB will take some replacing but the noise out of Germany is good re Wirtz and Musiala. Don't forget he missed half of last season and we won the league.

We won the league without Gundo last year.

Bernardo can be a useful and versatile squad member for another couple of years.

He's been in the middle of signing that deal for months.

That's not how it works, if we think we can pay less we'll try and pay less or we might structure the deal in a more advantageous way. Nothing to do with what we value him at.

Akanji looked great when he had a FIT Dias/Stones/Ake playing....when he's needed to step up, he's been woefully short.

He has a couple of glaring weaknesses that aren't exposed when he plays RB.

In the Treble season he was much better when he played RB/LB than CB.

He was superb at LB against Madrid at the Etihad.
