Dumbest thing you have read on bluemoon?

I remember it well and could name names. A number of them resented Joe Hart's removal.

Even worse than that lot, where you can use basic football ignorance as an excuse, was a small number of people who didn't really rate him right up until the treble win. You'd see them referring to his "brainfarts" and "No plan B" every time we fell to some flukey defeat. They didn't even have ignoracne as an excuse because the evidence of his brilliance was right before their eyes with results.

Worst than that, though, which is ultimately just a football opinion, however flawed, was this which I nominate as the ultimate stupidity i've eve seen on this forum:

There were a number of posters who argued that Soriano and Txiki had joined Manchester City because they were Barcelona fans who wanted to ruin the club for fun. The spirit-sapping idiocy and lack of intelligence that it takes to actually believe that makes me feel a bit depressed.

Many still bitter to this day.

There has always been an element of our fanbase that would rather see the team fail so they can be proven right than to succeed and they have to admit them wrong

I’ve always felt there were some people who never took to him because of how superior he is. Personally they have more in common and can relate more to a Big Sam than a Pep Guardiola so he’ll never be quite their cup of tea.

I do still adore Mancini.

He means far more to me than Pep ever will regardless of Pep’s superiority as a manager.

I think most of us adore him. The blue and white scarf, the confidence and arrogance to stick it to opposition managers. Delivering our first trophy in 35 years and the league title in the greatest possible way. I was very much pro-Mancini and the manner in which he was sacked, with that cloud looming over us at Wembley for the Cup final was ridiculous. But he had publicly criticised them most of his final season - which in hindsight was fair enough when you look at the dross we bought!

I've not read about a good old fashioned "overthink" for a while ;)

Well @RayCTID did say we wouldn’t sign anyone in January as it’s a hard window and no one would want to leave their club to join us. Then he said Ottamendi might be an option. That was pretty wild tbf.
It wasn't easy we still had to negotiate for Marmoush who we didn't really need until the summer. I did mention we should sign a couple of defenders which was more needed and were the most easiest and the cheapest of transfers. It took until the final couple of days before we signed Nico Gonzales. Otamendi was a suggestion for defensive cover who is still in good shape and in good form.

Grealish was bought because he was the king of pre- assists . I couldn’t believe my eyes.

Personal choice but Pep has revolutionised the club and football in general. What people don't remember is Bobby Manc and Pellers both used the long ball tactics at times bypassing some of the greatest midfielders we'd ever seen at City.
