Pretty funny tbh if he's tried to buy the same player twice from two different clubs and messed it up both times with a disrespectfully low offer.
I don't think that Levy messed up this time. He got an almost free loan of Ter from Bayern instead.

It sounds more like a chance City missed to offload a massive wage bill (or part of a massive wage bill) and an opportunity of sale in the summer. Player with no game time has no value. Nothing disrespectful just truth.

Yeah, I guess. Depends how much you want the player and how good your alternatives are.

If Pep's got no plans for Jack then I don't see why we'd decline the loan offer. Should have let him go, at the very least him getting some gametime would be likely to provoke a bit more transfer interest in the summer than leaving him on the bench for the next few months would.

We may have injuries but left wing is pretty well covered.

Pep made very clear he did not want to lose any player at the beginning of the transfer window (even Walker!). Walker had to submit a request of transfer by himself. That was very extreme behavior by all accounts. God knows why....

Genuinely surprised he's not gone in the window. Seems to be miles away from the team

Like Walter Jack might have attempted to submit a transfer request, without success, we just don't know. It might very well be that his agents have already been instructed to find an appropriate club for him, aiming to move on in the summer.

Rumours that Spuds are paying 10m euros for Tel, for 6mths work. Bayern have had their pants down.

Levy saw all the abuse he was getting when the rumours came out that Tel had rejected them so went back with an offer so big it couldn't be knocked back just to prove a point. Sums them up.

This has just sparked the bbc into this fucking mammoth article!

Why 4 reporters have been involved in that I don’t know! If Grealish has been having some issues that we don’t know about then I can’t see this helping much as he does seem pretty sensitive.

Bizarre article from the bbc - especially given it's an FA Cup weekend.
I don't understand that organisation these days

It has the feeling of the early groundwork, in preparation for him being moved on in the summer. Shame, if true. I always liked him, but it hasn't really worked out for him with us. But he'll continue to have my support (for what that's worth) as long as he is a City player.

Pep answered it, didn’t he?

Savinho and Doku have been playing better than him.

Not really.
Doku? He's been good on and off. By no means consistent. And he's been out for a while. Savinho's been pretty good. Jack too was good when played centrally.
No, sorry, not convinced by Pep's answer, and still mystified.

Honestly baffled by how huge that article is and it seemingly repeats itself. Fair enough it is a discussion point but does feel like there's some steering to it. It would be great if he just knuckled down and proved he can play a role for us for the rest of the season - he should be an option for us in midfield.

Plenty see Jack could and should be an option for midfield, but it's just not going to happen if Pep is still somehow fine with how our midfield has been all season.

It's curious that Pep's tinkered in massive moments (no Fernandinho/Rodri in 2021 CL final, Fernandinho at RB against Real), but won't bother trying new things like Grealish in the midfield in a season where we've been found out time and time again.

Tbh from all the hints on various podcasts, it sounds like Jack has been hitting the booze a bit and that’s been more of an issue with regards to being in the best shape. If he was constantly fit & firing then yep, completely agree with you. Hopefully he just applies himself and offers that option - he could be a more energetic, athletic version of what Bernie offers in midfield

Hasn't Jack had only one game (Forest home) in a central position this season ?
Savinho was MOM against Chelsea and changed the game - unfortunately, it's been a while since Jack has done this.
Doku is rapid and gives us an escape outlet, which again, Jack does not.
Think even Bobb returns, Jack will slip further back - or Pep tries him again as a #10.
Think it's best fe guess on loan next season, or is sold. He doesn't currently look the bright, alert player he has been...
