Keiwn also said, when Nico fouled one of their players, that it was a Rodri tyoe tactical foul. Not a Partey one or a Rice one.
He didn't. The main commentator said "dare I say a Rodri type foul" Keown agreed though but not in a negative way. Keown was fucking useless. You know it is bad when he said twice we had Arteta in net. Fucking idiot. Said Marmoush wouldn't expect to play that role today (that he has played a lot this season before signing for us) It honestly was an absolute barrel of shite from the ref to the bbc.

Not sure I saw much brilliance with the first team, that being said my point was basically that the pair of them were mostly on the periphery of when playing first team.
I was really impressed with Palmer tbf, that debut goal in the UCL vs brugge? I think, the FA cup goal (can't remember who vs)
The lone striker performance vs Everton in 21/22, the assist to Alvarez on the last day vs Chelsea, the Community shield goal vs Arsenal the equaliser against sevilla in the super cup, the boy showed a lot of quality.

He was largely crap for us. That's why he was sold and it is why he rarely was given a chance in a meaningful game. That was part of the problem because like today, they only get a chance in a much changed side. Your examples even show that, Chelsea the league was won so changes were made, Brugge and Arsenal goals during small cameos.

Made hard work of it against a shit team. Real are going to bend us over next week if we play like the last couple of outings.

Sorry I stand corrected. It was the main commentator.

Agree to disagree, he was good enough and showed it, remember he had Riyad ahead of him so Pep always played him on the RW which wasn't his best posistion, it's all history now, point I'm trying to make is the players we have coming through now don't impress me much.

Reassuringly mediocre, just another game that fits nicely in this write off season. Any positive result or a good game from now on is a bonus. I don't expect us to do anything serious either in FA cup, even less in CL.
Savinho the only one who was average at least, Rico as well and never hides. Otherwise Pep ended up with every single MF and attacking player not even being able to have a proper average performance. Definitely better with John and Khusanov at the back.
Nice atmosphere at Brisbane road, but it is funny how one poor season and minnow opposition supporters act as a bunch of complete muppets. Didn't see this against Oxford or Bristol City.

As soon as i saw what the weather was like, i knew it would be a struggle, but get in! so happy we're through.

They looked a decent team and were going in hard, as expected, and with the team we put out, we took a while to settle down, but we had some great chances!
I thought Grealish and Savinho looked lively...Savinho is going to be a top player! and i could see why we bought Gonzalez and Reis. Marmoush looked good again too, he just needs a goal now.

Their goal was a fluke but it was a great shot & almost one of the greatest FA Cup goals ever!

We started the 2nd half better and our right side really tightened up when Khusanov came on. I like him already!...nice to get his first goal but it should've been Rico's who had a lot better 2nd half after pushing into the middle. We were still creating, but i thought Savinho drifted out of the game and it took a great goal for us to win it. A brilliant ball from Grealish and a nice finish from Kev.

I think it was a good warm-up for Tuesday and good to see Dias and Stones get some minutes and just hope them and Gonzalez are fit enough to play.

If they are, and with the rest some key players got today, i reckon we're going to win that.

COME ON CITY!!!!
