Dias and Ake being back as they are our best outright defenders. Stones in midfield, he’s more than capable of it and if Nico isn’t fit, I’d trust Stones there over Kovacic. Grealish on the left to help out at the back as Gvardiol will play as a winger. De Bruyne, Savinho and Haaland the firepower.

Correct, it's a 180 minute game.

No point going gung ho and conceding loads.

This tie may be decided in the last 5 minutes of the 180.
 
A surprising team, will be interesting to see the formation/set-up once the game starts.

One thing to cling onto for those worried, that starting 11 are quality tried and tested top, top quality.

And for the first time in what seems like forever it is a high volume quality subs bench.

More expansive role for Gvardiol with Ake covering left side? Those 5 will hopefully give us a good chance of keeping their front 3 quiet or at least quietish.

Regardless, COME ON CITY, GET INTO THESE FROM THE FIRST MINUTE!!!!
 
A bit weird this. Pep's chosen finally to flood the defence and midfield as we were all asking before the new year.

But Stones and Bernie in midfield.

I wonder if Pep has gone like he has done in previous games as in the way he uses Phil Foden.

Pep has normally gone with Nunes at right back, Foden stepping in centrally giving Nunes the freedom of the right hand side.

I reckon that's Grealish job tonight, Josko basically playing as a left winger with Grealish stepped inside alongside KDB basically playing in behind Haaland.

I m thinking more like 3 in the back with stones and jasko in the middle when with the ball but fall back for 5 in counter attack

Need at least a 2 goal advantage for second leg . So what's the point of this 11. At least try go through.
 
Ah bollocks. I’ve waited since 4am for this and been buzzing all day. The match day woukd have been a nightmare but this isn’t far short. Full of moaning cunts who think they know better. Weaklings.

If I see Akanji joining the midfield looking like he’s playing with steel toe caps on I’m going to cry.

That lineup screams that we are underdogs.
