Everton Thread | 2024/25

I was in the away section because I'd promised the lad a trip there before it shuts. As I don't have the points nowadays (it used to be so easy when I was single and we were shit or even Keegan's team), and tickets in the home end aren't easy to get hold of (despite having a long-standing Evertonian mate) had to get creative. Or rather he did! An adult and two kids tickets for £47 including booking fees was very reasonable at today's prices.

It will be a shame when it shuts. The lad said they will lose such a lot of heritage and character when they move. Quite profound for a 14 year old. Great throwback ground...love the roar when Z Cars gets played...a reminder of many trips with City, hearing that, the hairs on my neck standing up and bellowing "Come on City".

They can be one of the more raucous atmospheric crowds even though they don't have many songs. Not yesterday though.

Bournemouth silenced the crowd though with their quality possession and goals. They are a good team and we have to be on it when we meet them.

Still enjoyed what is my last trip there (unless anyone has a spare when we go!). The authenticity of it with mainly genuine fans and less glory hunters and "neutral" visitors was refreshing.
Maine Road was magic.
Three away grounds I always liked:
Goodison, Roker, (Upton Park) the Boleyn ground. All to be gone next year.

I'm hoping they play another Youth or Women's game there before they close it, the next youth game isn't there unlike the precious two, fingers crossed as a ground nut that i can pay a last visit.

As much as I hate Everton you have to like the look of the outside of the stadium. The brickwork gives it an old times feel, even similar to old Yank sports arenas. So much better than the Killers stadium, 4 different stands, looks absolutely stupid.

Won't change anything in regards to the title.
But I'd like to see Everton win just to watch the wall pushers wobble a bit.
Shame we're not in a position to take advantage.
And arseholenil couldn't win fuck all

With Arsenal not having an attack any more, maybe Forest can win the league!

If Everton win tonight, they go ahead of the rags.

Good build up this.

Went there a couple of times in the 90s. The way that stand shook was a real test on the old sphincter muscle.

They’ve spent 30 mins talking about how good the atmosphere is, well why you don’t all shut up talking for 5 minutes so we can hear it
